I'm gonna buy a dog, and american sentinels are my favorite for sure. I dont think it's practical to own one right now though since I live in a pretty small place with no yard. However, I would be able to exercise the dog a good amount, and like doing stuff with dogs. Id do two 1 mile walks a day. So my question is, do you think I can own an American sentinel without a yard and a pretty small place? Are american sentinels too intense for that? It's a working breed, but I also know many of your dogs stay in kennels (and still get exercise on treadmils) and are okay. They are a more hardy breed. So I honestly don't think I'd feel sad for an american sentinel if I gave him walks and attention, but I'm really not sure if it's a good idea.

They are very good in small places as long as you get them out on a regular basis. They are not just bred to work. They are also bred to be companions.

I like the way she puts her wieght into holding on. If that would have been an intruders bare arm or leg, that intruder would have been in big trouble.
