They are from the Peugeot 206 indeed. Headlights are very expensive parts to design and to test so it's quite common to use other cars parts, even for expensive brands.

It looks "Generic" because it was engineered as the ultimate road car. Styling wasn't really important. It's that shape, because that's why the calculated to be the best. The only breaks in the skin are for vents that are actually used. (Ie Intakes for the engine, and vents for the brakes.) You want to buy something for it's looks, go to Italy. You want pure performance without any BS, you look at something like this.

I'm currently using it in a Group B rally championship (which I am winning) against several other high-end supercars such as the McLaren 650S, the Porsche Cayman GTS and the Porsche Carrera GT. It's an incredibly diverse car, and it sounds astonishing.

Interesting how the glass hatch pops up at 4:18. either he accidentally hit it while negotiating the turn or its a safety feature that pops up to help vehicle stability. it would also help prevent the car from leaving the ground if it spins out at high speeds from the ass end lifting up.

Why is that most German and British supercars like the SLR, Aston martin etc have a throaty grunt as the engine noise and most Italian cars like Ferraris and Lamborghinis have a high pitched noise?

Pradhyumna Gupta That's based on how big the piston stroke is. A smaller stroke allows the engine to generally run faster and produce more power, and it gives this high noise. A bigger piston stroke allows a bigger and more powerful detonation, resulting in an engine with more torque. And it makes a deeper noise.

Pradhyumna Gupta No, not all of them. But Lamborghini or Ferrari for example do use small piston strokes. The Mercedes-Benz V8 for example has very long piston strokes, that's why he has this really big grunty roar. Of course there are different cars as well. Porsche for example builds very small engines in general, that's why they have quite a high-pitched sound. But the flat-6 has a very unique sound anyway.

Pradhyumna Gupta It all has to do with the number of cylinders( number of exhaust pulses you hear with a given engine RPM) and the order in which these pulses leave the exhaust to enter your ear hole. Most V8 engines use a crossplane crankshaft. This gives an uneven firing order and a thunderous roaring sound. Ferrari on the other hand use a flatplane crankshaft, this is gives more power, more vibration, and sounds more like two standard 4 cylinder engines harmonizing :D

That's a real tough question. Both are fast. Both are rare. Both are British. Both have V8's. But the Noble you can get a Speedster (targa) version. So I'd go with that.

Noble if you want a challenging to drive Supercar. Ascari if you want a Beginner's hardcore Supercar. The Noble lacks ABS and the Ascari lacks ESP/TCS. Hardcore af to learn how to handle them. 👍 It's probably the reason they couldn't sell them much.

@thatnigga54 But it is a lot lighter so the power to weight ratio makes it A LOT faster. Plus they have better handling and acceleration than the cars the engines are taken from. And it is turbo charged which gives it more power as well.

@SomeCrazyFellow The thing is, the Ariel Atom is a 4-wheeled motorcycle. It's not much of a car except that it's fast. The Atom is missing everything else to make it a comfortable ride. You pretty much have to wear a helmet to keep it from ripping your face off.

@Minnokidd2 when the car is moving fast enough, traction control doesnt make a difference, most cars dont burn rubber while doing over 100 mph(there are exceptions of course) but when starting from zero the car accelerates faster with traction control on(exceptions here as well) think about it, would your car get up to 60mph faster if the wheels were just spinning(like a burnout) or would it get there faster if all the tires were "glued" to the asphalt?

@Minnokidd2 this is not true. traction control stops/doesnt allow wheelslip. it wants you to achieve top speed so it tries to prevent you from doing a burnout upon acceleration. at high speeds the tcs is happy because all the wheels have traction so it can take a break, it does not hinder speed once the car is moving at a good rate
