I really need to hear this because I'm 13 and for about the past year and a half I've been feeling that God has been calling me to the religious life as a sister or nun, it's something that's given me so much joy yet feelings of anxiousness, confusion, and uncertainty. Then this video popped up and I feel like God has just been telling me to just start to lean on him more than ever this year even though I've felt like giving up because God will always be there for me leading me step by step. So thank you Fr. Mike for encouraging me to just start somewhere in this journey and for uplifting others by spreading God's light unto the world. Happy new year ❤

Here I was certain I’d hear a bubbly positive talk on how it’s so amazing that we are starting again with hope and energy and all is wonderful and… not. Instead I hear a talk on exactly how I’m feeling. No resolutions, no “here I go again”. Instead I’m left surprised by the point Father made and feeling as if I could use an extended version of this actually. I’m left wondering where do I feel God is telling me “just start”. It’s a good thing that I didn’t have to wait until I had it all together to go to God because I was a complete wreck a mess a disaster. I wasn’t sure what I was gonna do and then I had someone ask me a question and it changed my life. I was definitely a Shepherd, but I’ve moved up a little bit in the world since then, but I also haven’t forgot from where I came.

Definitely need to start again somewhere. The past months have really made me stop trying let alone caring. I work on cars for a living and the hours aren't adding up and my pay is suffering, multiple issues at the shop that make me get very angry and almost walk out but I need money to pay bills. On top of a constant loneliness I feel in my life and really wanting a good relationship, I just want to give up often, feel like I'm just working to destroy my body and nothing else. I believe in God but the power to do something us gone.

Maybe you’re trying to do too much. I LOVED Catechism in a Year which I did in 2023….i listened every morning before I got out of bed. I did Bible in a Year last year and it was wonderful too. Maybe do just one but with God’s help do it daily…..🙏🏼
