Hey everyone, Sorry about the autofocus in this video. I know it's distracting, but I am still trying to figure out all the settings on my camera will improve this for the next one.

I have this. You’re not missing anything for the paddles. They do clack. I don’t mind as I use headphones but ya compared to my BB ultra it’s louder. But I prefer the stronger Ascher force/feel. Subjective I guess 😊

The BB ultra is a good deal ya.

Ive heard a couple of times that Ascher had the best shifters.. Perhaps its their complete wheels, but would seem weird to use other shifters.

I have the f28-SC as well and the paddle noise is quieter on that complete wheel assembly. Tested last night. Still a great feel to them but more of a thud sound than a clack sound.

Great video mate. Just some creative feedback regarding your autofocus if there is a way to keep that static as it can get a bit distracting going in and out of focus as it tries to focus on your hands versus the gear you're reviewing. Thanks again for all your hard work and creative content! Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed that too; after filming, it annoyed me as well still getting the hang of this new camera will work on this for the next one. Thanks for your support!

I have recently purchased a BB Ultra and paired it with a Turn 305 really enjoy it. I am looking for a second button plate for my competition v2 rim and was about to purchase the Ascher for a different look and feel . Im not sure what to do after watching this now, maybe another BB Ultra ?? 😊

I hear you; I purchased the Ascher for the same reason to have some variety between wheels; maybe check out some options from Simcore. They have some nice button plates from what I've seen but not tested. I may pick one up soon myself.

Is there an option to maybe add your some rubber dampers on your Ascher
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
@@nevillerichards9330 I ordered some small dampers off Amazon to try out think that’s all it needs and should feel a lot better.

I have this button plate as well and while the shifters feel good, I have the same complaint that they are loud. The Ascher website shows they have Gen5 paddles that are "silenced due to no metal-on-metal contact" but I haven't seen anyone talk about them. I'm tempted to pick them up but don't understand why these shifters wouldn't be included with their new wheels?

Time to upgrade to a HSR XeroPlay QR.
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
I was considering that but would have a lot wheels to upgrade the wheel kit too is it worth it in your opinion?

Small mod fixes the loud clack from the shifters, literally takes seconds to solve that issue for me and now they’re virtually silent

Thanks for sharing what was your solution?

Ascher shifters do feel good, but they are noisy. Probably the noisiest of all wheels.
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
Yes, they feel great, but they are definitely, the noisiest I've used

all manufacturers use ALPS funky. So it must work the same ;-)

Are you still trying to sell?

No I'm keeping, I've since gotten used to the noise and dosen't bother me as much.

@@simracingden I really want one now! Really regret buying the Simline BPV3. Looks nice but the buttons just feel too weak. I've really got big AMG GT wheel vibes from the Ascher line up. I have a beautiful Sparco P310 Open top and it deserves a better partner lol. Also going to sell my Podium DD1 and upgrade to Simucube 2 Pro. Until I have all the wheels I want and the next 2 Dbox actuators spending 3k just doesn't make sense lol.

I have the USB version of this button plate. I live in a small complex, i live on the top, my neighbor on bottom. I was so concerned with the paddles that i instantly removed them and replaced with the very nice sim racing machines paddle set. Much quieter. It's a very nice button plate. I still use the older carbon fiber button plate so wanted to stick with Asher.
