I’m an old mainframe computer guy from the early 70s; we once drafted an ascii image of Mona Lisa back then. The tech was crude but we got it done. The mainframe was a Control Data 3100; I can’t remember the model of the drafting machine.

Your cnc sounds like mine. I made custom controller board based on TI LM18246. (See my channel). What controller board used yours?

This uses an arduino/ramps based design (sainsmart 2-in-1) similar to a 3d printer with A4988 drivers. When using a router of course you can't hear the steppers.
