Pre war Riley Brooklands - Front guard stays 4 - A New Hope

There is a Riley Brooklands in the Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset (UK). I always think of you when I see it. Thanks for posting these videos, fascinating to see.

Thanks for that, I had to look it up. It says it's a 1934 Riley Brooklands special. Interesting nose on it! And the instrument panels looks like something out of Thunderbirds! I wonder what chassis no. it is?

@@asciimation Is it likely to be visible somewhere on the car? I could try and have a look.

@@jsincoherency Normally stamped on the front nearside dumb iron right near the front just about the front spring hanger. And they also used to have a diamond shape plate in the engine bay with it stamped on that. I'll have a look through my book to to see if I can work out which car it is. They all go through so many changes over time it can be hard to follow the histories.

Well done, I was wondering how the new wings compared to the modified originals and you answer that, proves you are on the right track! I am sure you could always sell the prototype wings on, bound to be someone that needs them for a car or a trailer!

I don't think they are worth anything. If someone wanted them I would give them to them. I don't even see the time/materials as a cost since it's all good practice to get to where I finally need to be! Whenever I worry my hobbies are getting too expensive I think to my self 'It's OK, it could be worse, it could be golf!'
