I've been a drummer for 7 years now and I'm self taught and I just wanna say that setup you have, the triangular formation is the most amazing thing over ever seen truly unique and designed for speed you sir are one truly amazing artist keep making this music and I will support you.
@hoyholyhoy10 жыл бұрын
Well that setup was really made popular by Travis Orbin but that's irrelevant I suppose, they're both incredible drummers!
@asdrummer200810 жыл бұрын
hoyholyhoy Hey man! Thanks a lot for the kind words! The left floor tom was something I added to my setup just to push my left side more. It lets you think about fills a bit differently too.
@chrnocrusader2110 жыл бұрын
Seriously though like that speed you got because of the formation is something I picked up from seeing you play I've never seen that until I saw your setup and I can finally get the speed I need to push myself further now really great full I found your page awesome stuff and for that comment earlier I do realize your not the first to use that setup but your the first I've seen on it and it's awesome.
@myspacecomaffwj10 жыл бұрын
It was made popular by Tony Williams when he first started adding pieces to his traditional jazz setup in the late 60s & 70s. It was usually a small or medium tom although.

Cheers for the "programmed guitars" explanation, I've seen you mention it before and didn't quite get how it worked, I assumed it was just a really good MIDI instrument. It's a cool and unique sound, and guitarists can't complain about it if they've ever used Superior ;)
@Mp5Drummer10 жыл бұрын
Guitarists can't complain about the programmed guitars being a "cheat" and not real guitars if they've ever used drum programming software. I was referring to Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.0 which a lot of "djent" guitarists use for drums :)
@Mp5Drummer10 жыл бұрын
It was just a little joke, and I used to not mind programmed drums, until you listen to an album and hear the same samples over and over again... The drummer's parts are only one part of their sound, their kit sound and their feel is a huge part of the band lost by using programmed drums. Of course the end product can sound fantastic, but it won't necessarily sound just like the drummer who wrote the parts.
@crzycrs9210 жыл бұрын
Conor Burridge Xehanort has some of the best programmed drums i have ever herd
@MatthewSwasta10 жыл бұрын
Conor Burridge that's why I "program" my drums one step insert at a time, for a dedicated original beat...however, it's mainly because of the limitations of my extremely inexpensive recording gear. And it's painfully time consuming and tedious. Can't wait 'til I can get some recording software and something such as Superior...
