@ASE360 for certain structures, how will you know if it is advisable to go at an angle with the cursor or just to come straight down. I’ve tried asking my instructor, however it was very confusing as to what she was saying. I came in at an angle for the RV but she said don’t do that. Same thing with the LA. I just get really confused. PLEASE HELP!❤ thank you 😊

for the most part, you should be trying to find the minor and major axis for structures that you are measuring in 2D

is RWT of 0.46 normal for 23 year old...? My EF is 65%.

I can't speak on the RWT, if your cardiologist didn't say anything you're good. Your EF though, is just perfect, it's the best someone can have for longevity after multiple studies so long life to you sir.

My LVPW (D) is 1.12cm (11.1mm) is this normal?

If the IVS is thickened, that means there is some form of hypertrophy, but you need to compute for the RWT and LVMI to know if there is concentric hypertrophy, eccentric hypertrophy or concentric remodeling. It could also be normal based on the patient's BSA. Depending on the extent and type of hypertrophy, the possible causes include hypertension, aortic stenosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, infiltrative diseases, diastolic dysfunction, ischemic heart disease, etc... You need more data clinically and other echo findings to have an idea of what the cause is

PS if walls are significantly thickened >15mm , hypertrophic cardiomyopathy should be considered.
