【Taiwan Public Infrastructure: Railway Series】Episode 3: East Extension of the Nangang Project

The Nangang Project is the final phase of the Taipei Urban District Railway Underground Project. The Nangang Project extends from Songshan in the west to Qidu in the east, covering a total length of 19.4 kilometers. Construction began in 1998 and was completed in 2011. The project includes the Dakeng River section tunnel, the underground project of Songshan Station, the underground project of Nangang Station, the Xizhi Mountain Tunnel and approach project, the Xizhi Elevated Railway and the projects of Xizhi Station and Wudu Station, the Wudu Freight Yard and New Wudu Tunnel projects, and the Qidu Station and Qidu Marshalling Yard projects. With the completion of the Nangang Project, the 28 years Taipei Urban District Railway Underground Project has been fully completed.
