With some tweaking it could be a fire animation, so this has been pretty helpful for me! (Although I’m curious how you’d make fire with pixel art 😊)

So, I am planning on using the Godot engine since I have made some really basic games in it so far with the built-in assets. I am hoping to make an isometric game similar zoo tycoon since none of the games out there are up to my expectations lol. I have no idea when it will be completed though since I am still going to college for computer science and that takes priority.

Haha! Well here ya go!

Fire is not gas Fire is ionized gas, which is very different, cause fire doesn't fill up a volume. Smoke is partially gas, but it also carries a lot of particles with it, so it has the surface tension needed to sorta keep a form. And funny enough, so does steam.

This is a good tut to follow only thing id suggest is to make them a bit more randomized, nature isnt in synch most of the time and well the loop at the end happens at the same time and direction, maybe slowing one down a bit could help, or changing its direction maybe make it not do the loop to the same length, etc.

I make these tutorials so you can make your own work to use, so you don't have to use someone else's assets! :) Credits are always nice, and I'd appreciate it if you mentioned me! I actually recorded a pixel art cursors video the same day I made my pixel art font tutorial... but scrapped it, because my recorder messed up the footage. Never got around to re-recording it :D I'm on it now though!

Yeah. I think Libresprite / Aseprite has an image sequence export function... but if not, you could just export each frame into a png :)

How do you export the animations? And on a bigger note. How do you export without losing resolution??

You have the option to export them as a .gif or as single images. Just hit 'save as' then change the extension to .gif. As for the resolution... Are you trying to scale it up IN Aseprite... because if you try to resize it in another program, you'll need to find the a setting that says something similar to mipmaps, or linear 😊

TutsByKai well I’m trying to upload my image to Instagram or use as a photo for a video but it comes out all blurry. Let’s say I worked on a 64x64 it looks all wonky. That’s what Ive been having trouble with. So trying to upload a 64x64 without it looking like trash in a small ass canvas.

Sprite > Sprite Size >(choose your desired size) and make sure you change Interpolation to Bilinear ;)

T_T WHY CANT I JUST FIND A DECENT PIXEL ART ANIMATOR THAT WILL WORK WITH A DRAWING TABLET? I USE PISKEL THE CURSOR DISAPPEARS WHEN I USE IT. I USE THIS PROGRAM AND THE CURSOR JUST FREEZES WHEN I TOUCH THE PEN TO THE TABLET. THIS IS SO ANNOYING LIKE NO ONE WANTS TO USE A MOUSE TO DRAW..

Hmm... sounds like something is wrong with your tablet setup. This program AND it's alternative: Libresprite work amazingly perfect with drawing tablets. Does your tablet work properly in programs like GIMP and MagicaVoxel? If so, you may need to play around with the tablet drivers and settings!

Just point out this smoke dynamics is not physical, it clearly is not a solution to Bernoulli equation

It's suppose to resemble something like a magic spell cast, *not* the aftermath of a fire ;D
