Hello, just getting started with this game and found your video helpful. I noticed at one point you changed the aim of your shot due to intervening trees. The rules do say that if a ball contacts trees in flight, it stops and does not roll. My confusion on this point stems from the fact that most folks seem to play by figuring out where the ball lands by applying the distance on the vertical axis added to the distance on the horizontal, without regard for the exact path the ball took. But then how does one know exactly where a ball hits the trees in flight? And I presume this rule does not apply to hitting balls out of trees, as then you could never hit it back out (I take it the rule is more ""a ball not already in trees must stop if it contacts trees"?) Just wondering about your thoughts on this. I have had some difficulties with the written rules and so have been relying heavily on playthrough videos such as yours to learn the game. I downloaded it from an APBA golf tournament face book group, I don't remember its name. I've since lost the file but make photo copies of the ones I managed to make print out of for the courses I own.

How long does it take to play a round once you get used to the instructions? Thanks. This games looks fun.

Without the added wind option usually it takes me about an hour for a round with two golfers. The wind charts add about 15 minutes more if you should choose to use them.

Hello, Not sure how to ask, I have trouble with the wedge charts. They dont list how many yards the ball goes. How do you figure that out? Thanks

Rather than tell how far the ball goes, the wedge charts instead just tell you where the ball ended up. So you pick your aiming point (either right at the pin or the safer middle of green spots) and then use the chart to determine how close you came to your intended target. It gives a distance and direction - “+5 R5” would mean you landed 5 yards past your target and also 5 yards to the right.

@@colinalec I'm not sure what the official rules are, but I just make a judgement call. If one side of the green is larger than the other, I consider that the 'inside.' If it's fairly even then I consider the side closer to me to be 'inside.'
