Stunning, Stunning footage mate! Top quality video and sound - thoroughly enjoyed this South African Steam action! Thanks for posting and hope you post some more like this - especially when that NG15 rides the rails!

Very professional. Great shots and I like the out takes of the mountains and the Dipper. A few pointers here on how to improve my filming. I must do that 80 miles on narrow gauge excursion!

I think it is quite cool how the Garratt can have wheel spin on each set of driving wheels separately

Did seem to have some trouble with the smokebox end driving wheels slipping. is it something to do with there being more weight at the bunker end or something I wonder?

Pardon me but I’ve been a railway enthusiast for quite awhile now and I’ve never heard of a ash train, what’s it’s purpose, do all steam railways use it and how come I’ve never heard of it before?????
@FfestiniogWelshHighland4 жыл бұрын
The purpose of the train was to move waste ash and use it to reinforce and widen some embankments. I'm sure some railways do a similar thing.
