Those who accuse Salāfis of Tashbīh/Tajsīm (anthropomorphism) are in fact guilty of their own accusation. Due to their own impulsive doubts in their hearts and the whispering of the shaytān, they fail to understand their misguidance. The shaytān did a number on mankind with this doubt as it's very difficult to escape from - except for whom Allāh ﷻ guides. Thus reaffirming the utter importance of instilling the correct understanding of Tawhīd in one's heart. At least he's competent enough to not seek knowledge from the mule of the shaytān, the extremely ignorant stooge, Ali Drama.
@maktabahassunnah4 жыл бұрын
@alphabolt DCUO First of all, Wahābism doesn't exist. This derogatory term was invented by the Ottomans and the Brits to degrade the Salāfis who are the only Muslim sect upon the correct understanding of Islām. Secondly, your lack of affiliation with the Salāfi Creed and Methodology is in violation of the Prophet ﷺ as he clearly stated the nation will split into 73 sects. Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr رضي الله عنه: that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: "What befell the children of Isra'īl will befall my Ummah, step by step, such that if there was one who had intercourse with his mother in the open, then there would be someone from my Ummah who would do that. Indeed the children of Isra'il split into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will split into seventy-three sects. All of them are in the Fire Except one sect." He said: "And which is it O Messenger of Allāh?" He said: "What I am upon and my Companions." [Tirmidhi 2641] Salāfis don't believe in anthropomorphism except for it nullifies one's Islām. We believe in Allāh's Attributes according to the correct understanding of the Qur'ān and the Sunnah. We affirm and negate for Allāh ﷻ what He and His Prophet affirmed and negated. Allāh ﷻ mentioned His Shin in the Qur'ān. He also mentioned nothing is like Him. So we believe in the Qur'ān and we believe in His Shin but without likening it to the creation because the 'how', the physical description of it hasn't been revealed thus it's from the matters of the Unseen. Nor do we distort the linguistical meaning as we understand from what is apparent. For example, the Asharis distort the meaning of the Attribute of His Hands by claiming it's His Power. The Qur'ān and Sunnah doesn't explain it this way. Likewise, Allāh could've said His Power instead of His Hands in the Qur'ān. And Allāh ﷻ Knows Best

@ItsaColdWorld104 жыл бұрын
TheRockyBalboa100 no. Calling yourself Muslim in this age of confusion isn’t enough. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described the saved group as the jamaa’ah, i.e., the consensus of the Muslim scholars. In other reports he also described them as “the vast multitude”, as in the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah and others which is recorded by Ibn Abi ‘Aasim in al-Sunnah (1/34) and al-Tabaraani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer (8/321), with an isnaad that is hasan li ghayrihi (hasan because of corroborating evidence). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also described them in the following terms: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Qur’aan (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. Now, the People of Bid’a (Ashari, Maturidi, Sufi, etc) all call themselves Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama’a. This causes further confusion and in order to clarify one’s belief he can call him/herself Salafi as a distinction from these misguided groups. I hope this has been helpful.

The problem with Asharees and Maturidees is that they hear the words "hand, shin, finger" etc and Automatically want to remove THEIR OWN thinking of Allah to have attributes like Humans (because these words share the same name in creation), so they end up denying and not affirming attributes that Allah has affirmed for himself. It is their own polluted thinking in the first place. They want to flee from affirmation. No one is saying "how" the attributes are. It is clear how the Creed of Ibn Kullab is rooted from Aristotle and Plato.

It's an individual problem. The Asha’riyyah and Maaturidiyyah Aqeedah have been de Aqeedah of the ahlul sunna wa jammah. We should not say Salafis say Literally Allah swt he has a Hand (as the asharis claim. And the Ash‘aris say Allah has no hand(as the salafis claim) . Because in the original creed of the Asha’riyyah they affirm that Allah has a hand(pure linguistic because Allah said so) But they dwell deep on why Allah can not have a human hand. Likewise in the salafiyah its the opposite. I think there is just a big misconception between towards each other.

@@Sieghart5314 I don't think there's a 1000 year misconception where the past Imāms waged war against innovated beliefs due to the corruption and what it could lead to (Shaytaan ultimately wants kufr). The salafees Creed is that of the sahaabah, the 4 Imāms and scholars of hadith who followed the taabi'een. This is the haqq. The truth. The real authentic and correct creed from the companions. Imam at-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) said, after narrating the hadith, “Allah accepts charity and takes it in His right hand,” in his Sunan (no. 662): More than one of the scholars has spoken about this hadith and similar reports that referred to divine attributes and the descent of the Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, to the lowest heaven every night. They said: We affirm the reports concerning that and we believe in it, but it cannot be imagined or asked how it is. Similarly, it was narrated from Maalik, Sufyaan ibn ‘Uyaynah and ‘Abdullah ibn al-Mubaarak that they said concerning such hadiths: Let it pass without discussing how. This was the view of the scholars of Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa‘ah. As for the Jahamis, they denied these reports and said that this is likening Allah to His creation. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, has mentioned His hand, His hearing and His seeing in more than one place in His Book. The Jahamis misinterpreted these verses and explained them in a way different from the scholars; they said: Allah did not create Adam with His hand. And they said that what is meant by the hand here is power. Ishaaq ibn Ibraaheem said: Rather likening Allah to His creation is saying that He has a hand like their hand, or hearing like their hearing. If someone says that Allah has hearing like their hearing, this is likening Him to His creation. But if he says, as Allah, may He be exalted, said: A hand, hearing, sight - without discussing how or saying it is like their (attributes), this is not likening Him to His creation; rather it is as Allah, may He be exalted, says in His Book (interpretation of the meaning): “There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing” [ash-Shoora 42:11]. When Allah said in the Quran : "And the Jews say, "The hand of Allah is chained." " He replied :"Chained are their hands, and cursed are they for what they say. Rather, both His hands are extended; He spends however He wills" . You can notice that the jews said " his hand" which is singular, then Allah said " both his hands are extended" adding a second hand to the equation. So if Allah's hands were not litteral hands, what would be the point of talking about two hands?
@tdsdave4 жыл бұрын
Well you could consider them metaphorical , that "The hand of Allah is chained." is metaphorical for Allah being impotent, being constrained rather than having a literal hand in chains, and the extended two hands could mean not only is Allah potent but more so than imagined. Of course if it is metaphorical then that requires a step in interpretation and that leads to potential ambiguities. It also leads to how do you know when and when not such a interpretative step is required, maybe even apparently straight forward statements could in fact be intended to be metaphorical, how would you know, there is no rule telling you when and when not to understand statements in a literal or metaphorical manner.
@adelkl57114 жыл бұрын
@@tdsdave the chaining is metaphorical, not the hands, since you can apply the same metaphorical expression on human hands without having doubts that the human in question has hands. the example of Adam given by brother Shamsi is enaugh in my opinion , because what makes Adam so special is , like Allah mentioned it was that he created him with his hands .( notice Allah, once again mentioned two hands). Even this conception of Allah's hands is derived from an interpretation of the texts in an effort to make doctrinal ideas like Allah is unlike his creation , fit with hands being a feature only known to us in creation. This understanding has problems it amounts to saying that Allah's hands could be, may be required to be, vastly removed from what we understand hands to be. If that is the case what is the purpose in Allah communicating this to us at all, by definition if we do not know what Allah's hands are we cannot understand text where it is referenced. There is also no rule available that itself is not also product of a credal conclusion, about when this deference to ignorance should be applied. Should we also do it for Allah being merciful , the creator , why should we imagine these attributes are not as incomprehensible to us as Allah's hands are deemed to be. So other takes on this, such as treating the statements, where they cause conflict with other doctrines as metaphor or platonic, solve somewhat some of these problems . Often though you never escape all the problems. All the best.

The Ash’ari madhhab follows the doctrine of kalām (theological rhetoric) - it appeared after the first three excellent generations. They ascribe themselves to Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari (died 324AH) and they regard him as their founder. Al-Ash’ari was a staunch Mu’tazili until he reached the age of 40, in around 300 AH. Then he switched to the ideology of the Kullābiyyah which was, as mentioned above, founded by Abdullāh ibn Kullāb (died 240 AH) less than a century before. Ibn Kullāb was from the era of Imām Ahmad ibn Hanbal (رحمه الله) and Imam Ahmad criticised Ibn Kullāb and his followers severely. Ibn Taymiyyah said: “The saying that Qur’an is from eternity, not with a voice, not with letters; it is not except a single entity (or meaning) present with the Self of Allah - it is correct to say that it is the saying of the Ash’ariyyah. But the first to utter this in Islam was Abdullah Ibn Kullāb. The Salaf and the imāms (scholars) would affirm for Allah (the Most High) what is established with His Self of Attributes and they affirmed Actions that are connected to His Will (Al-Mashee’ah) and His Power. The Jahmiyyah denied both of these. So Ibn Kullāb agreed with the Salaf in the establishment of the Eternal Attributes [of the Self], but he rejected the fact that there are Attributes established with Allah that are connected to His Will and Power. And then came Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari after him and he was the student of Abu ‘Ali Al-Jubā’ee the Mu’tazili - then he retracted from the sayings of the Mu’tazilah. He explained their contradictions in many places. He went to extreme lengths in opposition of them in the issues of Qadr and Imān, and in al-wa’d (Allah’s promises of reward) and al-wa’eed (Allah’s threats of punishments) until they, due to this, ascribed to Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari the beliefs of the Murji’ah, Al-Jabriyyah and Al-Wāqifah (those who refuse to state a position in the issue of the creation of the Qur’an). And in the arena of the Attributes, he took the path of Ibn Kullāb. So this saying concerning the Qur’an is the saying of Ibn Khullāb in origin and it is the saying of those who followed him such as Al-Ash’ari and others.” (Majmū’ Al-Fatāwa 12/178) So the Kullābiyyah (and then the Ash’ariyyah) tried to carve out for themselves a niche between Ahlus-Sunnah and the Mu’tazilah. Ibn Taymiyyah, Adh-Dhahabi, Al-Miqreezi and others stated that Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari left the madhhab of the Mu’tazilah and adopted the views of Ibn Kullāb. Ibn Taymiyyah stated, “The closer a person is to the era of the Salaf, the more knowledgeable he is in comprehending and transmitting [what is correct]. And I affirm this for the Hanbali madhhab and I clarify that Al-Ash’ari was from the students of the Mu’tazilah, then he repented; he was a student of Al-Jubuā’ee the Mu’tazili, however, he left that for the path of Ibn Kullāb. Then he took knowledge of the sciences of Hadeeth from Zakariyyah As-Sāji in Basra. Then, when he arrived in Baghdād, he took knowledge from the Hanbalis in Baghdād in other subjects of Religion. And that was his final affair [that he died upon] as he himself and his companions stated in their books.” (Majmū’ Al-Fatāwa 3/228). Ash’aris of later times up until today took the doctrine of Al-Ash’ari when he was upon the madhhab of Ibn Kullāb. So in reality, they are Al-Kullābiyyah - in fact, they are far worse in their creed than even Ibn Kullāb (and Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari in his Kullābi phase) since they adopted much of what Ibn Kullāb refuted from the ideologies of the Jahmiyyah and Mu’tazilah! That is why they do not read (or even acknowledge) the book of Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari (رحمه الله) entitled Al-Ibānah ‘an Usool Ad-Diyānah wherein (page 20) he said, “Our saying with which we speak and our belief upon which we practice our religion is: to hold fast to the Book of our Lord, and to Sunnah of our Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and what is narrated from the trustworthy ones, the Sahābah, the Tābi’ee and the Imāms of Hadeeth - and by that we are protected, and [we hold fast] to whatever was stated by Abu Abdillah Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal (died 241AH), may Allah make his face radiant, raise his rank and reward him abundantly - and those who oppose his speech [in the ‘aqeedah] are to be opposed. That is because he was a virtuous imām, a complete leader through whom Allah made the truth clear, and by whom He repelled misguidance and clarified the Manhaj (Methodology) and bridled [and extinguished] the innovations of the innovators, the deviations of the deviants and the doubts of the doubters - so may Allah have mercy on this foremost imām, a noble and great scholar of deep understanding.” This retraction shows clearly that he left the Kullābiyyah and adopted the creed and methodology of Imām Ahmad ibn Hanbal (and his students) especially since it was well-known that Imām Ahmad held a harsh stance towards Abdullah ibn Kullāb and anyone who followed him. And it was for this reason he ordered the abandonment of Al-Hārith Al-Muhāsabi who was a follower of Ibn Kullāb. So it is safe to assume that Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari had drawn close to the understanding and creed of Imām Ahmad ibn Hanbal (رحمه الله). This is further proven by his visit to Al-Barbahāri, the imām of Ahlus-Sunnah of his time, where Al-Ash’ari announced his freedom from any connection to Mu’tazilah and others who opposed the ‘aqeedah of Imām Ahmad. (See Adh-Dhahabi in As-Siyar under the biography of Al-Barbahāri). Having said that, it is correct to conclude that Abul-Hasan Al-Ash’ari did not completely relinquish all of the influences of the Kullābiyyah that he had learned [after his leaving the Mu’tazilah], but, there is no doubt that he came closer to the madhhab of Ahlus-Sunnah as is clear in his final works such as Al-Ibānah ‘an Usool ad-Diyānah. May Allāh have mercy upon him. [Source: www.abukhadeejah.com/speech-and-voice-of-allah-ibn-kullab-repentance-of-ashari/]

The scholars have differed concerning the meaning of Muhkam and Mutashabeehaat ayaats in the Qur'aan. Qadhi Aboo Ya'la; who mentions 4 opinions in his book 'iddah: 1. The Muhkam is clear and doesn't need explanation. The Mutashabeehaat needs explanation. 2. The Mutashabeehaat is that which is difficult to comprehend for the layman, but not for he 'Ulema. This is similar to ayaat that outwardly contradict each other but don't, i.e. "Verily you guide not who you like” (Al-Qasas 56) and the ayah “Verily, you are indeed guiding (mankind) to the straight path” (Ash-Shura 52). The first ayah refers to the success of one's actions and the second ayah refers to a proof and leads to the Truth. 3. The Mutashabeehaat are the letters that are unconnected and found at the beginning of the surahs i.e. Alif Laam Meem, Alif Laam Ra. etc.) The Muhkam are letters other than these. 4. The Muhkam are the ayaat of the halaal. haraam. promises, and punishments. The Mutashabeehaat are the ayaat of stories and parables, basically the Muhkam on this opinion are the ayaat that establish verdicts and the Mutashabeehaat are the ayaat that don't
