Tho this is sad and it is beautiful, I like to think that this future was part of an alternate reality and everything went back to how it was going in that future and LB and CN both took Hawkmoth’s miraculous and they were finally able to be normal kids for a good few years, still being LB and CN even tho they never had to fight Akumas or Mega Akumas, or even have the misfortune of going through what the main timeline ones are going through.

I had to think for a bit but.. What happened is, is that Chat Noir in the future is from Chat Blanc (Chat Noir akumatized) and since she was changing the future, (so that the future with Chat Blanc doesnt exist, because it would be bad) that means that Chat Noir from that future (Chat Blanc future) will be basically left there and wont actually be a person in the present. He knows she is leaving, that's why he's sad. That's a kinda long summary but that's that best I could put it. Thanks for reading that :p

I’ve thought about this before. Rewatched a bunch of episodes recently. If I’m not wrong, if she uses the eraser (her lucky charm) in her timeline, it affects their future. So basically, the reveal never happens in that timeline either. Since she erases her name in the past, there’s no name on the gift in the future. So don’t worry guys, he gets his lady back! They just don’t remember the reveal.

The episode is Chat Blanc, S3. Ladybug made a mistake that caused an catastrophic apocalypse in the future. And when she resolved the problem, her super power fixed the future, which also causes Cat Noir to forget everything that happened due to Ladybug’s mistake and return him to the non-destroyed future world.

(they don't know each others identity) In simple words, In Season 3 episode called Chat blac , "marinette makes a mistake in present time and because of this Adrien finds out that she is ladybug (the girl he loved since the first time they meet) Then after that adrien proposes marinette and they both starts dating until gabriel agreste (hawkmoth ) finds out that his own son is cat noir and after that hawkmoth emotionally blackmales cat noir and akumatizes him (giving him too much power of destroying everything) and then he become cat blac and ladybug from the past came to future to solve this all situation (she dosen't know what made cat noir akumatize and she also don't know about his identity too) so, when ladybug reaches the future with the help of bunnyix ( holder of miraculous of the rabbit which gives her power of time travelling) every single thing is destroyed!! Not a single human is alive except cat blac (future ladybug is dead too and hawkmoth also) when past ladybug sees all of these she don't really understands whats going on in the paris and then bunnyix just told her that "Just do your job , Catch the akuma and fix everything" then ladybug sees Chat blac on a roof and then she talked to him Chat blac becomes soo happy to see his love of his life again but then he starts stolling her miraculous and then they both starts fighting (In the fight cat blac calls ladybug "MARINETTE" so then ladybug realises that he knows about her identity ) ladybug tricks cat blac by her love and frees him from the akuma (forget to tell you she also summons her lucky charm in the fight) then ladybug and cat noir hug each other and cat noir again calls her "marinette" then ladybug realises that she have to throw the lucky charm on the past and correct the mistake she did So she Goodbyes cat noir and goes back to past ( and this scene is showing that what happend to cat noir after ladybug goes back to past "Universe disappeared" which clearly means cat noir died too) If you want to watch the full episode you can watch in your regional language on youtube Hindi English Portiguese French Japanese (More.....) I had a thought for a cute story! What if there was a third umbrella scene and after Adrian got akumatized Marinette tried to reach him as Marinette. Now I imagine in the song Umbrella playing in the background as Marinette tries to jog his memory of who he is, and she holds out an umbrella and the song goes like: "When the sun shines we'll shine together, know that we'll still have each other! I said I'll always be your friend. Made an oath that I'm sticking out to the end. When the sun shines we'll shine together! Know that we'll still have each other! You can stand under my umbrella! You can stand under my umbrella." It would be so cute! Here's some background info I imagined for story: Idk what Adrian's akumatized form would be but Marinette doesn't have a chance to transform into Ladybug. They are on the steps of the school like the first umbrella scene but Marinette is where Adrian was and vice versa. And Marinette sings with the song "When the sun shines we'll shine together.
