I really agree I was heartbroken when they did the blood test but they might put these two together. Remember he said everything about him was a lie, and that he never lied to Liz. The test confirmed Raymond reddington is her dad but is this guy really Reddington? They could go the imposter route.

Ok, I have never considered them anything but a father-daughter relationship and was always confused / disappointed when I would see posts from people wanting them to be a couple. However, this video was great and I can now at least imagine it! I still like the father-daughter relationship because (1) it would be refreshing to not see every pairing made into a coupe and (2) I kind of want her to end up with Ressler. However, after seeing this video, at least it wouldn't be quite such a confusing shock if the writers do take the couple path with their relationship...

I've always viewed them as a mentor/apprentice like relationship, and from that angle, anything is possible. I never believed he was her father because the writers never intended it to be that way, and the only reason they are playing with the idea is because its so popular. I always keep in mind that most writers don't typically do what is most popular when it comes to the end of their shows. I've seen lots of father/daughter relationships on film and TV and this relationship feels so way off from that dynamic, when you consider the dialogue, the looks, the music used in their scenes, etc. I just can't picture using a song like "Wicked Games" for a father/daughter moment LOL. I just can't! :)

I agree that I don't think they are really father / daughter, but I don't read their scenes quite like you have. It is an interesting reading -- just not one that naturally comes to my mind... Even the mentor / mentee relationship doesn't fit quite right for me. In that relationship, one is in training to become more like the other. I don't think Red would ever want Lizzie to end up like him; rather, I think he seeks to protect her like a father figure. Just my reading, though... I am curious to see where the writers go and I think I will love it regardless. The show and actors are just that good!

Well in terms of the mentor/mentee relationship, Red is always trying to teach Liz how to think like a criminal in order to be a better profiler, and even though it may not be his desire, she is becoming more darker just by associating with him and his world. I feel, by the end of the series, we will see a completely different Liz. Nonetheless, the show is great and so are the actors. Hopefully its on for a long time!
