It's tough sometimes when you don't get mentioned but Norman watt-roy is amazing! Obviously Ian Dury got all the coverage but the blockheads are something else! He's right up there with Pino Palladino and some of the other greats.

U are absolutely right he's 1 of the all time greats in my humble opinion, but hardly gets ever mentioned when they talk about the great bass players. He wrote 1 of the best bass hooks in music history with Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick among so many others.

Met Norman after a gig at the Corn Exchange Exeter and again at Exeter Phoenix, always been a hero of mine and theres always a great reception for the boys down here in the good ol SW of the UK , top bloke oi oi !! likes a few whisky and cokes too!
