The Ashen One beat Gael who is canonically confirmed to have killed billions before the fight and had the power of the dark soul itself, and don't even try to get me on the fight with Midir who was an actual immortal dragon, yet he defeated him easily. The Tarnished ain't shit to him, even with the Melina feat.

Gael isn’t confirmed to kill billions it’s only actually confirmed he killed the Pygmy lords who had chunks of the dark soul Midir is fodder he’s just a dragon who are only mid tiers within the verse being far surpassed by lords The tarnished beat dragons that bend time and space just by existing He has destined death the law that all things die He can use scarlet rot a disease that is stated to have no cure, eats through steel, and straight up threatens even great runes He can catch cloud to ground lightning He also can manipulate causality and frenzied flame (which is capable of melting the entire verse) It’s just not fair the Ashen one can’t do anything about destined death or scarlet rot alone

That strength argument would be more for power or ap, it’s slightly disingenuous. And feats for the tarnished were basically ignored and no proof was provided for the other stats. And the tarnished has better endurance than any other protag from the series due to how stamina works. This is kinda biased

In game he has the strengh to hold of maliketh wich literally kills you if you are not worthy. And not only that the ashen one misses one ability that the tarnished has. The greater will. So basically the item description explains that light is time. The first flame is the mother of all light and the soul of cinder is powered by the first flame meaning he scales to universal + because time is 4D ashen one scales to universal + since he defeated a 4D being meaning he outscales tarnished.
