Cheap Sea Urchin (Uni) generally tastes quite sharp, so it probably wasn't off. And the shaved sea weed was actually konbu, or kelp. You don't usually pour boiled water on it, but kinda tear off bits and put it on rice. It's very popular in Toyama Prefecture that way (where my wife is from).

うにくらげ is literally Jellyfish in Sea Urchin paste, no clue where they got the gonads from. とろろ昆布　is literally Shredded Konbu (Konbu is a type of hard seaweed edible as a dried snack or use as a basis for the sauce in Shabu Shabu! Also 491mg of Calcium per 100g in the Fish Sausage, those are available at 100 yen stores (Pound stores!) Last one is Octopus,Mushroom and Olive aglio e olio!
