Claire, just had to let you know what this song has meant to me. I lost my mother very suddenly last year, and the first time I heard this beautiful piece of music, it so perfectly expressed what her loss meant to me...losing one of the great guiding lights in my life. I cried aloud, a 55-year old man sobbing in his office. "Will you . . . will you pelease stay with me?" I've watched Lucifer a dozen times. I can handle Mom being sent to another universe where she'll never see her children again. I can handle Lucifer crumbling after Uriel's death. Sometimes I can handle Amenadiel laying his necklace on Caleb. I can even handle Lucifer telling Chloe she's his first love while at the same time leavig her to protect the world. But I cannot ever handle Charlotte's death. It just destroys me every time.

the reason her death hits so hard is because you could see the terror in her eyes because she knew her overwhelming guilt was going to take her back to her hell. with out Amenadiel basically helping her carry that weight she was holding onto and carrying her to heaven was what gave her peace.

@@ChrisHJohnson93 yeah, that's always been one thing about the show that completely nauseates and creeps me out. If the whole guilt thing was true, then in the Lucifer world, hell would be full of depressed people who are actually good (they feel guilt all the time for every tiny thing they do) and heaven is full of sociopaths (who feel no guilt over anything). That aspect of the show was just NOT thought out well. It's why the season 3 finale horrified me and why I wasn't surprised when I heard about the first cancelation. I figured it was mostly ratings, but also partly because of the horrifically dark turn the show suddenly took. I'm glad it's back and season 5 is mind blowing, but I still cringe in horror every time they talk about the guilt thing.

Not Many realize That Lucifer Is A DC comic character and that's how hell Works in that universe as well. but yes I feel like the God Fucked over people like Charlotte who was just doing her job and upholding a very important part of our justice System lol but yeah Her acting was 10/10 for making it look like she was truly scared to go back.
