The thought of the book even after 2 or so months still makes my soul shiver and is so near my heart so I better hope they do justice to the movie. The book was a masterpiece. I can't appreciate the author or the book enough however I may say.

The author Ruta Sepetys came to my high school to talk about this book a few years ago. Brilliant and very nice women. I highly recommend her second book “Out of the Easy,” bit of a lighter subject matter.

Just finished reading this breath-taking book. Couldnt imagine how this happened to human race. There is nothing, in the name of religions politics whatsoever, allows us to glorify ourselves by getting rid of others. May those beautiful souls rest in peace and more peace among us.

I first read this book in 2014, and have been reading it multiple times throughout the years. Between Shades of Gray is truly my favourite book. I just found out there's a movie. I'm honestly nervous and scared to watch the movie. But im excited and happy for Ruta.

I just finished the book. It was amazing! I’ve known about the camps and occupations in Poland and Czech and Slovenia and been to Auschwitz. But I hadn’t heard stories about Siberia. It was so ____ to be there and to hear the gruesome truth in such detail. I leave that place blank because there aren’t enough words or perfect adjectives to describe it. I just wish everyone was educated on the subject as would be beneficial to living.

The fact at the end they said true events mean, something real happened then and I wish that nobody was taken away in Russia since I know that feeling because I could've lost someone I love most l Luckily, my grandmas mother survived and she will surBertha no story to tell which she likes. As I'm saying, tears are rolling down my face and it's because she's old she could've died at the minute, and I never want anyone to die and like my mother said not everything lives forever

Nonsense and provocation! 1 How the USSR could attack itself! (LSSR from 1940) 2 There was never a war between the Soviet Union and Lithuania! 3. In 1939, Stalin gave Lithuania the city of Vilnius. Lithuania only had conflicts with Germany and Poland, so how did we end up at the extreme!?
