Do you have any information on how mining rarity rating works from a math standpoint?

I have been trying to find out, but with no luck. I will update this when I do find out.

I feel like that's some data mining info that no one has bothered with yet since it's alpha and things can change at any moment.

With such a good mining gear, it would be awesome if you could do some kind of comparison. Let's say mining 4 hours with nice gear and mining 4 hours on another character with basic or almost basic gear. I would be interested to see the result.

I have done that for fishing, where I caught 100 fish with 100 rarity rating, 100 fish with 300 rating etc up to 500 rarity rating. I will upload the results today or tomorrow.

How are you able to check the rarity and stats like this, seemingly eaisly? When i put in the last rare+ mat my novice pick then displayed as rare. is there a website with this data that can just be toggled around or can u just toggle the display for rarity ingame? The info the the app pickaxes was pre nerf right? Even after nerf i expect it to be quite a big deal still.
