I memorize notes, so most of my errors come from "physically" playing them (without much sight), and drilling the correct notes purly by touch. For Step 2: Use a dice, the more numbers the better. I like the percent dice as they are in groups of 10, and makevyourself playbit. If you rolled an "80", play it through 80x correctly! If you having a hard time, and you have the time to pdo drill work, you could add an extra 0 or two!! Thanks for posting!

Excellent practice tips again. I used to start all over from the beginning when I made a mistake. I was just lazy, I didn't want to face my mistakes directly. My inner thoughts: OK, when I start over again and again, I won't probably make a mistake. But that was not a smart strategy at all! And that took painfully long time. I learned that you must directly address your mistakes and drill them rigorously. Thanks Ashlee for these practical and valuable tips. I can't wait to try that post-it strategy! Practice time!😊

You are very welcome and thank you for outlining your process - I know it will be so helpful for others to see as I know many that practice this way!

Ashlee, the Post-it Note company’s stock price just doubled, and their sales went up 50% just from MY mistakes! Also, my wife will certainly thank you for helping divert some of my emotions. LOVE the chords at the very end! {:-D

Piano would be SOOOO much easier if I could plug my brain into a computer and just download the necessary skills. But alas, I don't live in the Matrix so watching Ashlee's videos is the next best thing. You're so awesome! Thank you for the lesson ❤

What if you have inconsistancies in your mistakes - I guess your saying mainly focus on the mistakes you make more often?

That’s a great place to start is any mistakes that you’ve made more than once. In doing this you’ll gain a lot of insight into why some of them are happening and how you can fix them.
