Ian Willy I agree to those flashbacks that were superbly emotional too but in this fictional game that also brings out the reality to it, inside the apocalypse death is inevitable and that’s the main point. If you look closely you’ll notice when she left she didn’t have dinas bracelet. When she came back she was wearing the bracelet, and she didn’t have her gear on. Meaning they already connected before she went back to the house, that’s what I like to think anyway, makes the game less depressing.

Jannel Chantel true i believe that too but she could be hiding it in her bag she has the whole the last of us in her bag. This scene was so beautiful and Ashley is perfect! And I think the story was brilliant, I don't understand why everyone hates it. It was brutal and not every story has a happy ending. Of course I was angy and heartbroken when Joel died but I think it needed to happen in some way. This has been the most scariest and the most stressful game I have ever played and at the same time it made me so happy. I hope yhere will be a third game as well, but I don't know what kind of story it should have, I would be happy with everything. It could be interesting to see how Joel ended up with Tess and not Tommy and what happened to Ellie after Riley was gone. But after all I would definitely try to survive with Ellie by my side!
@shailoedmerrick67514 жыл бұрын
I think people are devastated about Joel's death because of the WAY that he died, not just that he died in general. Someone that had been surviving as long as he had been wouldn't have been so willing to walk into unknown territory with a bunch of strangers. He wouldn't have given his name out, either, and I have a hard time believing he and Tommy wouldn't have put more of a fight. With everything that they'd been though over the last nearly 25 years, there's no way they would've been that trusting. That's the devastating part. And we're mad because after watching something as brutally horrendous as his head getting pulverized, we're forced to play as the girl who murdered him for what, more than half the game? I can't say that I don't see Abby's perspective, and I can't say that she's even a horrible person, because in a world like that good and bad isn't so black and white - but I will never like her. I honestly don't care about her story, and I don't care about any of her people, and I never will. That's where this game is a disaster. Naughty Dog could've kept the same story and executed it differently and it would've been significantly better. Instead they completely changed their characters for a plot that would fall short. That's why we're angry. That's why we're devastated.
@kiie14544 жыл бұрын
@@shailoedmerrick6751 Okay now I'm getting angry as well because your every word is true, Joel and Tommy definitely would have fought back more than they did. I didn't thought about that. I was really mad when I had to play as Abby and I would've preferred to play as Ellie through the whole game, but I understand why they did that. I still think it's a good game but yes it could've been better with Joel staying alive a bit longer. And thank you, you gave me more perspective
@shailoedmerrick67514 жыл бұрын
I've been obsessed with the first game since it came out, and when trailers were revealed the for the sequel a couple of years ago, I started crying, and I was at work lol. I bawled my eyes out at Joel's scene and continued crying for the rest of the day, and cried at every cutscene with him in it. Even my boy friend started crying when Abby killed Joel and he didn't play the first game, he just watched me play it. I knew Joel was going to die as soon as he saved Abby from the horde, and yes I'm absolutely devasted that it happened, but I wouldn't be as mad about it if it had happened differently. When the game switched to Abby's perspective I just felt numb and empty. I haven't even finished the game yet because I'm too terrified to fight the RatKing because that kind of shit sends my anxiety through the roof, but I don't even know how the game ends and I'm struggling with the idea of just watching it on KZbin or going home and forcing myself to play it because I'm just tired of playing as Abby. It's just so hard because aside from the story, the game is beautiful. I love the attention to detail and the fighting mechanics and just about everything else, so that's also why I'm mad at Naughty Dog. They made this beautiful game that is physically so fun to play, but it's so emotionally draining and infuriating at the same time.
@reydragonclaw11283 жыл бұрын
@@kiie1454 Ah, ah ah. Joel and Tommy were settled. It's been four years in a comfortable environment. A town that is protected and the only thing to fight is infected, which aren't much of a problem. Plus, they're getting older. His reflexes and senses are dulling with age. Another thing; he thought that ALL of the fireflies were dead, so he had no idea that anyone would want to come after him. He thought he had no enemies left, and that's why he was so trusting. Why would these random people, who can't be fireflies since they're all dead, want to kill me? If you think about it, Joel and Tommy's vulnerability makes sense.
@red2977 Жыл бұрын
You don't understand why people hate it? Really? Maybe because it little to know sense that the characters behaved the way they do. Tommy and Joel are just going to up and introduce themselves to a group of strangers? That is hardly consistent with their behavior in the first game. All the fireflies are gonna be soo angry about the death of the doctor guy that they will go across the country hunting the killer? Even though the doctor was going to kill an innocent child? I'm not saying they wouldn't shoot Joel if they came across him but to go out looking for him after years? Come on. Tommy telling Ellie that Joel wouldn't want her to see revenge and then later coming back and demanding Ellie go get revenge? There is just soo much that makes little to no sense.

Carlos Eduardo because she already sang through the valley in the reveal trailer. Do you mean you wanted her to sing it in the game?
@CarlosEduardo-mq3bc4 жыл бұрын
@@wakkjobbwizard Yeah, and I also wanted her to have a version where she sings the whole song. I stayed the whole game waiting for her to sing this song haha

This was a really stupid pop song when it came out while I was in high school. It takes on a completely different meaning here and has quite a bit of weight to it. It’s also beautiful and dreadfully sad at the same time. This is the version that will be in my head for the rest of my time on this earth.

A1 covered this song, original song is by a-ha. Wasn't a fan of the A1 version, their music video kind of makes the song dumb. But still catchy nevertheless.
@YerDa67 Жыл бұрын
Not stupid at all. It’s an excellent song, clearly shown here by the acoustic version.
@ElanurMH Жыл бұрын
Check out The MVT unplugged a-ha concert from 2017, where a-ha played this slowed down version of their song the first time. That version by a-ha was also used in the movie Deadpool 2. The way Morten sings it, is out of this world ❤ kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6mufmajfNllpqc By the way, the original version is not stupid, it is one of the best 80s songs and the iconic music video the best music video of all time. A-ha is one of the best bands existing and Take On Me is is not their best song, although it is one of the most popular songs worldwide.

This upsets me after the ending of the game ellie and dina had such a good thing going and it got ruined
@Etheral1014 жыл бұрын
It could still be fixed now Ellie is over the PTSD and let go of revenge. Hopefully when Dina sees her in Jackson they can make a new start together.
@awesomerandomshit4 жыл бұрын
Ellie wasn’t wearing dina’s bracelet while fighting Abby, neither did she try to shout dina’s or someone’s name when she visited her old home, she didn’t search for anyone and she wasn’t carrying her guns/ weapons either. She didn’t show any surprise and she didn’t search for a note or letter either. I believe that she had already had gone to Jackson where probably Dina was, and later after deciding to move on from the bad memories of Joel, she goes back into the house where his guitar was left and finally forgives him and officially stops the circle of revenge between him, her, Abby’s father and Abby.
