I find it funny how the Japanese version of this song has her being the little girl that she is and just wanting all the friends, while in the American version it's basically 'look at me! I'm an evil witch that hates everyone and will murder people because why not, but if you want to be friends then fine but if not you die'....it's an insane tone shift from both versions.

There are some games which are better in English such as "Catherine" Due to the Japanese Catherine's voice not fitting her at all... but in the case of Ashley, the Japanese version is waaaaay better. While I do like the whole "cheerleader/valley girl" schtick -- that simply doesn't fit Ashley. Thing about Ashley is that she is a small girl (5-7 years old?) That lives with her witch grandmother. She might be a "creepy little girl", but she is closer to the small children often seen in Studio Gibli's works.
