I don't know how to "hu kwv txhiaj" but can appreciate those who can, especially at this caliber. I'm told Ashley is probably one of the "best" modern, present-day, "kwv txhiaj" singer here in the States. Having heard this song more than justifies that exoneration. I like the clear pronounciation and lyrics - makes it very comprehensible for me, being a "non-kwv txhiaj" person, as some "kwv txhiaj" is sometimes difficult to understand. And trust me, I know Hmong practically 100%.

One time I was with my mom and her friend, watching this lady singing kwv txhiaj in a movie and my mom and her friend started to have tears in their eyes. Ashley Thao can sing lug txaj like no other Hmong American girl, but she is not that great yet. The reason I say this is because she hasn't sing against a man yet. I would like to see her stand and sing with a man, see the adrenaline rushing through her as she responds to the man in this lug txaj duel. I want to see her math wits with other male lug txaj singer. Once, she sings with a few men, then I would consider her a lug txaj goddess. At the moment, she is pretty much a novice and green when dueling with other men. She has to duel with men to be great...Look at Vaab Yaaj, Vaab is denifitely a lug txaj goddess because she has dueled with countless men, Vaab Yaaj is phenomenal. Ashley is not great yet, because she has never dueled with another pro like her.
