People have gotten addicted to drugs because it was introduced to them secretly. Mixed in their drinks, food, etc. Given to them while they were incapacitated/asleep. There's a group of gay black men out of California who were victims of this very thing. It's wild to us because we are dealing with folx who respect our boundaries.

The Pointer Sisters and LaBelle hit the world charts and my collection around the same time in the 70s. Both were produced (at one time) by Dave Rubenstein & Friends. "Dave" did not mess around or disappoint as a producer. He used top industry musicians, writers and arrangers and maximized the gifts of both girl groups. I’ve work at several psychiatric hospitals and have witnessed what you’re talking about . The lack of attention and conditional love from family are also factors. Self esteem, extreme restrictions, daddy/momma issues, environmental influences , abandonment, and drugs also lead many people to promiscuity. Like you mentioned, abuse is common factor too. Although this is a little off topic, I wish people would also address promiscuity amongst men. They usually get passes when it comes to parenting and multiple partners. They also have issues that are ignored or dismissed.
