Hurst Review is what definitely helped me pass my NCLEX in 75 questions. I did like 25 every day from the month before school ended and the month after graduation before I took my NCLEX. That’s me though and I’m sure you’ve found a method that works for you. 😊 Also a few tips when answering these practice questions (if you don’t mind me sharing 😊): 1. If you were told you could go into your patient’s room and do one thing and then leave, what would it be your top priority? Think: safety, ABC’s, medication administration, etc. 2. If you’re stuck on the answer of a question or have narrowed it down to two and can’t decide which one would be best, pick the highest priority. 3. If you’re not sure what the answer is… pick the one that you 100% know will NOT kill your patient. 4. You will never do “nothing” or “wait and see” when it comes to care so immediately disregard these answer choices. 5. DO NOT use your previous clinical knowledge that you learned from working in the medical field. We all know there is the “textbook way” and the “real world way” when it comes to patient care, but remember: These types of questions are answered using the textbook method. Lastly, remember that you got this and you will be a fabulous nurse! 😷❤️

Hi Ashley! I have to say that out of all the nursing school videos i have seen, yours are my favorite and have become the ONLY ones i watch. I love everything you vlog and i love how you and Josh are with each other and are supportive of each other. I loved this video especially for its content (clinicals on L&D - im thinking the same or NICU) and your passion......oh and how it started on my birthday (7/26) and ended on my son's birthday (7/30) LOL. Ashkey I’ve been following your videos for a while. I’m not a nursing student I’m an adult with CP. I’ve spent many years and months and hospitals and am a big fan of nurses who take care of all of us. so during the pandemic watching some of the KZbin videos of you with some of the nursing students I found interesting. But I must say what I’ve noticed mostly lately labor and delivery seems to make you very happy and then I guess is the way you’ll be going in your career. So congrats to you also also I watched your video not that long ago where you were excited about wearing surgical scrubs and definitely ceil blue scrubs agree with you :-) lol! Best wishes to you stay safe and I commend anybody who is in the healthcare field especially nurses because they take care of us patients when we need them most.

My hospital starts all new grads out in postpartum, but during our LDRP rotation we did a few days in each area also including L&D, triage, surgery, and antepartum. Is it like this for you or do you really get to be on the L&D side of it participating in deliveries?! This is the main reason o didn’t apply to ldrp because I didn’t particularly enjoy post partum.. otherwise I probably would’ve been as passionate as you trying to get into L&D. I helped with one, felt the blood transfer to baby and clamping the cord. Then helped to clean mama up after the birth. It was BEAUTIFUL. I just graduated and I’m start in the ICU so I can learn as much as possible but I really have always wanted to be in L&D

You don’t need to but some schools might prefer it! I got mine from a separate place/school a couple years before even applying to my school. The experience has definitely been helpful! I would Google options near you and make the best decision for yourself!😊
