I see where some really awesome nurses speak negatively about nursing because of the politics of it all, other than that I work with some REALLY GREAT NURSES WHO SAVES LIVES EVERY DAY & I can’t wait to be amongst them🎉

just a question regarding cna work experience to apply for nursing school. i took the cna course last semester through a local tech school (i’m a senior in high school) and i absolutely loved it and really found a passion for nursing work but i’ve been really discouraged because nobody will hire me. i’ve applied at 7 facilities now in the last 2 months and all of them have declined my application. do you have any advice?? i believe it is super important to have health care experience before applying to a health care related major/school but i can’t find anyone that will hire me.

Just keep trying girl! It can take some time but make your passion known during interviews. That's something huge that facilities look for, the passion to care for others. Also maybe meeting with someone who can help you with a resume would be helpful! Hope this helps!

did you apply to the place where you did clinical? find a CNA there that you are on good term with and ask if they can introduce/recommend you to the administrator/director that does the hiring. I got my first CNA job that way.

Sophie Polley yes to everything these girls just said!! Definitely get help with your resume and maybe practice some interview questions!! They are interested in the reasons your there so make sure you’re letting them know where you heart lies not just cus you want to ya know?

ALMA Leon I applied with a 3.8 gpa but this school only requires a 2.0! Most schools at least in Colorado usually ask for a 3.0 minimum gpa!

That's a really good gpa!! You def have a strong chance. I live in LA so schools over here are super hard to get into so I'm praying I will get in bc I also take the teas on Thursday so hopefully I do good.
