71 year old BTS Army here. This track is totally late 70s, early 80's Retro disco funk and was announced as a subtle homage to MJ. All of the dancers are notable dancer/choreographers, Brian Puspos, Ian Eastwood, Jake Kodish, Vinh Nguyen, Nick Joseph and Devin Pornel. The main choreographer was Keone Madrid but he is not among the dancers. This is his third mega hit after "Seven Feat Latto" that is now Platinum, and "3D Feat Jack Harlow". All are from his first solo album "GOLDEN" and just so you know, none of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop (Korean Pop) other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This original MV track, however, is filmed in and around an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very notable Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. The Official Usher remix Performance Video of "Standing Next to You" is filmed in L.A. and I highly recommend you react to it. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star has clearly took off in a big way. BTW, there are now several live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version. He recently performed 5 songs at the TSX stage in Times Square, NYC. Only the third artist to ever been invited to perform there besides Post Malone and PDiddy. The Usher Remix Performance Video of this song is ICONIC and a dream come true for JK. It is also included on Usher's new album dropping soon. JK's solo achievements are the biggest of the seven BTS members amazing solo releases. ALL of BTS members are in the military now for 18 months as of Dec.12 including Jung Kook. They will reunite as BTS in 2025. JK's solo album "Golden" is over to 2.5 billion streams now since Nov. 2. FYI, the American team of Grammy winner Andrew Watt, Cirkut, (and others) wrote and produced this song and it was recorded in Watt's studio in L.A. They also wrote and produced his first mega hit "SEVEN Feat Latto". Credited on the "Golden" album besides Andrew Watt, John Bellion, and Canadian Cirkut is Shawn Mendes for "Hate You" and Ed Sheeran for "Yes or No". Ed Sheeran also plays guitar on the track. Standing next to you is the title track of his solo album, Golden released Nov last year. Ever since the military enlistment announcement in 2022, Jungkook and the other BTS member have been working on solo projects. As of Dec2023, all BTS members are in the military and will continue group work after June2025.

You are going to love all his stuff and BTS, the dancing!!!!!! This was choreographed by Keone Madrid and Shay Latukolan. His dancers are all elite. Ian Eastwood, Brian Puspos, Nick Joseph, Vihn Nguyen, Jake Kodish, and Devin Pornel. Lovingly called The Golden Boys in all of the videos off Jungkook's album Golden. He has a 2000's era song called 3D and a UK Garage song called Seven. This song has a dance performance video. Super tribute to MJ. The song sounds a bit like Regulate, and if you were older, Michael McDonald's I Keep Forgetting. Since you know your dancers definitely check out the dance performance video of 3D. It has the boys and Jam Republic with Kristen Dodgen from Royal Family. Crazy dancers. Oh, and one more thing, Jungkook is even better live. 😘💜🫶🏻🫰🏻

Jung Kook released an all English album called “Golden”, I highly suggest you check out his other singles “Seven” featuring Latto, “3D” featuring Jack Harlow and “Hate You”. He’s the main vocalist for BTS, and dropped this record breaking album before enlisting in the military.

Brian Puspos was part of JKs dance crew for all of the Golden promotions along with Ian Eastwood and Nick Joseph. Joseph has choreographed for BTS before. He choreographed the 3J Butter Dance video. Check it out. Of course Kookie can dance he's been dancing since he was almost 14years old. As part of BTS they can all dance and sing oh and he can also Rap when he wants to as well. He didn't want to write his own songs this time as he wanted to practice singing in English so people offered him a number of English songs and he choose the one's he wanted and bam his solo Album Golden was produced. They all produced their solo albums before entering their 18months of military service. They'll all be back in June 2025 for the grand re union and made sure to sign their new 7year contract before entering their military service. They've prepared a lot of things for us while they are doing their military service. He clearly had a lot of fun making his solo album even though he did a number of live performances while suffering from a nastie cold bless him.

Jungkook came out swinging for his solo debut. Made an album entirely in English, just for the challenge. Worked with legendary artist and prodecers, in order to move out of his comfort zone and discover his true abilities. For 11 years he let others do the speaking and decision making. He needed to experience handling things on his own to more confidently face his future. Jungkook has multiple options now and I am certain he will find ways to balance his place in the group with his solo destiny. This man must have the freedom to pursue all of his dreams. There's no return to the status quo. His solo launch was too successful to be one and done. Thanks for the reaction.
