So glad Lego have started this line of Diagon Alley sets. To me the D2C was always a bit too big which meant it was a pricey set. Gringotts too with its massive underground section which doubled the size and price. So to make smaller sets with some great detail and variety of figs is something that really appeals. My top 3 hopes for more DA sets going forward are: Gringotts: A smaller set of this would be excellent. Leaky Cauldron: Yes its a pub but Prisoner of Azkaban shows what other areas you can have in it. Borgin & Burkes: Part of Knockturn Alley would be nice too. Lots of book & film details to include: hand of glory, cursed necklace and of course the vanishing cabinet.

I was hesitant in buying the Weasley shop because it wasnt confirmed yet the Diagonalley series to continue but this gives me hope. I love it and wile the big DH set is amazing this new playable series looks fresh and brighter. Hopefully Lego doesnt discontinue this line before its fully finished. Looking foward to more of this sets!

I wish they would have sold these separately as now I’m stuck with another ollivanders beacuse I have the big diagonally it’s a shame they haven’t realised a separate set of instructions to some how connect it on to the one in the big set and it’s the same for the wizard wezzles as you can’t buy the smaller buildings

I think I'd switch the walls on Madam Malkin's. If you're going to connect the buildings anyway and cover them, why not move them up so they're visible unlike some stickers in the new Hogwarts system.

15:52 allegedly the curved window pieces were actually designed for the diagon alley set back in the day however the designer didn’t end up using them for that purpose. So they came out in different sets later on

I disagree that the newer model is better. I do like the moving ladder and wand pieces, but there’s a lot more space in the older version while still having a detailed and cozy feel.

I genuinely feel like the new Olivanders is so ugly on the inside. Its all just stacks and stacks of wands, its too repetative visually. The UCS version did it perfectly in my opinion.

This has better windows, the ladder function and has fills the wand box wall better. The old one you’ll notice has orange and other colorful boxes. That’s because it’s reusing plates from other places from the set. Doesn’t look like Olivanders
