Couldnt have because it's dual moulded, that would have meant part of the hat was also green, like the strap on the indy hat is the same colour as the hair. Same suspicion for there being no dial of destiny sets, although I think a dark gray strap on a dark brown hat could work

I actually really like the new cowl design alot. The fact you don't have to change faces you can just take it off then put the hairpiece on due to no headband anymore. Plus it's then more like the comics as the lenses are built into the cowl. Just love the new figures and sets

glad someone else likes it, i find it attrocious on my 92 figure i got with the shadowbox so i put it on my batfleck and it fits his look a little better with the thickness imo

@@oronthemoron It's not bad at all but as a 89/Returns cowl? It's atrocious BUT, I just swapped it out with one of the older cowls and it fit perfectly. Ironically, the head that's supposed to replicate the original cowl the most isn't used for the set it's supposed to be used on.

I believe that the “guns” in the front of the Batwing are meant to represent scissors that he used to cut the lines of the balloons after he collected them. The stud shooters are meant to actually be guns.

Joker really needed his long gun in this set, though that won't be too difficult to make on your own. I'm honestly shocked that this set/the Batmobile don't have the yellow oval Batman logo as stickers somewhere on them, it's been tradition ever since since 2006. And speaking of the 2006 sets, having this set and the '89 Batmobile in the same wave just brings back tons of memories of the original Batman theme for me, specifically the very first wave with the 1989 inspired Batmobile/Batwing sets, it's like I'm 7 all over again. I'm definitely grabbing two of these so that I can try to modify one into the Flash Batwing (since Lego wouldn't make it themselves). They share a similar base design, its just the wings that need to be lengthened.

Even though the Batman mask isn’t accurate, I do think it is a pretty cool mold for Batman in general. And I understand why they went with this: because the 1989 Batman mask/cape, mold, wouldn’t work with a vehicle like this.

I think the new Batman minifigure looks great and the joker looks kinda like a classic figure which is nice but they should have give him a hairpiece too

For a batwing(ignoring accuracy to the movie, it looks very good in that sense) I like the middle part, but the wings just make it look like the bat symbol, not as much as a jet. I hope its easy to mod!

Ash, I think I might pick up this set just because I am a fan of the Michael Keaton Batman. He's number 2 on my list of favorite Batman portrayals. Number 1 being Kevin Conroy (RIP). What would be really cool is if LEGO did a D2C based off of one of the cartoons that we grew up on. Having something like a Batman: TAS Batcave, a Justice League Watchtower or a Titans Tower with the Teen Titans from 2003 would be awesome. I would like for LEGO to do some more Justice League sets or for the first time ever, some Teen Titans sets. And the new Justice League sets should include characters we have not gotten in LEGO form yet, such as Solomon Grundy, Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Black Adam, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Booster Gold & Skeets. I wouldn't mind them possibly doing a cheap set that somehow included John Stewart, Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl as minifigures. They are the only three I need to have a full DCAU Justice League founders roster.

Not big on the wing flaps but the angles and curves are so important to this. Glad that LEGO got it right, but it needs a better cockpit piece like the one from the McLaren Speed Champions set.

I think for the joker lego should have done a head in the style of the one from the ucs set and then used the Indiana jones hat/hair because other than the branding on the box and the vehicles. This feels more like a lego Batman movie set than a Batman 89’ set. I just all around hate the new joker face. It isn’t as iconic as the old one, it’s not as sinister, it kinda feels like a four plus face or a mighty micro head (or, dare I say, spidey and his amazing friends)

I love the batwing, but I have mixed feelings about the minifigs. The Batman is great, but I am not big fan of the new cowl mould. It just looks too thick, and I got used to the old mould. And new Joker's face is almost nothing like the Jack Nickolson's one. The one from UCS Batmobile was just so accurate

Try swapping the 89 Joker head with the Dark Knight Returns Joker from the CMF series. Don’t know why, but Joker 89s head looks more like the Dark Knight Returns version. Maybe it’s the cheekbones?

Honestly the Joker's head print from the two big 200$ Batman 1989 sets looks way more like Jack Nicolson's Joker the one in these new sets remindes me more of Mark Hamill's Joker from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

Here to express my opinion. The classic Lego Batman cowl piece from the Lego Batman movie is my favorite Lego Batman cowl piece for Lego Batman. Everyone was saying how they much preferred the piece with shorter ears to the one they used for Robert Pattinson's Batman, I seemed to be the only one who disagreed, I did not like that piece at all, I don't like how it looks and I don't like how it only covers the higher part of the figure's head making figure's head just having to be black to complete the mask, I did not like what that looked like. I much prefer this new piece to that other one, If they wanted a new batman piece with shorter ears I think this is the one, I really just didn't like the other cowl piece it looked too awkward and too off for me, this one's just better in my opinion.
