A few month ago I realized that I too, have been sexually abused. My therapist was able to get that information out of me and while I was sitting there next to her crying, I thought of this song. This reminds me of my own experience; basically I had a roommate who literally thought I wanted him after I posted on Facebook (publicly) that I liked being naked after showers; he immediately slid into my DMs to let me know he noticed me and then proceeded to try and break my locked door down to get into my room aggressively. Now I’ve been told by some so called friends of mine that it was entirely my fault because I posted it but why does it have to be my fault? I wasn’t sexual in any way, I wasn’t speaking to anyone except myself on my personal Facebook. After everything happened my former roommate would tell people he literally thought the feeling between us was mutual because I would talk to him, laugh at his jokes, and sit with him on our porch to smoke. When i was 7 years old i was doing homework when my mom's boyfriend came downstairs and told me he would help. He put me on his lap and traced his hand up my shirt and i was so scared i couldn't speak. I felt so disgusting. This went on for several months until he had to leave since he was in the army and he got stationed in Indiana. I told my mom and she felt horrible. Other things happened too and i'm sure you can guess what he did. My life will never be the same because of what he took from me. I recently found out after going to court about 3-4 times he was never sentenced to jail because the judges did not believe me. I never got the justice i deserved and it has left a huge scar. This song is amazing and i really love that she's spreading word about sexual harassment. We really need that especially because of what society is today.

I remember a guy that liked me and he was the WORST. He was saying stuff like he wanted to fuck, and wanted to have a threesome with me and my friend. He would constantly be harassing me and my friend. It eventually got to the point where me and her couldn't take it anymore. When I was nine a thirteen year old boy sat next to me on the bus, I thought nothing of it until he put his hand on my thigh and started tracing his hand higher whilst pretending to be asleep. Nothing but the words extreme panic can explain it. I felt so trapped, I didn’t want to tell a teacher because I was shy. I couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t do anything because he was so much bigger than me. I had bruises after because how hard I was desperately pressed against the window trying to get away from him, I still get nightmares. So I was touched by one of my bullies at my old school, but my principal and teachers did nothing because they tried to hide everything to make their school look better. He tried to touch me in the chest area, he was caught walking into the girls locker room and another boy was taking pictures of me without my permission. And the age of 10 a creepy man was following me in the grocery store and almost took me had I not caught up with my mom and this older man in the store kept looking at me when I wore a sleeveless shirt. I love cats and once i went to the corner shop because they had a beautiful ginger cat, i was around 16 then (I'm 18 now).
