Thanks for your kind words. Also, thanks for the recommendation. Will look into it. I have read other books of Romila Thapar. One more book recommended to me on the subject of Ashoka was "Ashoka-Portrait of a Philosopher King by the Indologist Patrick Olivelle and Fictional Biography of Ashoka by Wytze Keuning.
