Like no body drew letter/SIGN looking like 8 before. You will find the sign in Sanskrit scripts and IN more civilisations LOOKING LIKE 8 AND MORE MODERN LETTERS/SIGNS. 8 is known as eight in English, as its most famous language RIGHT NOW SO WE CHOOSE TO USE IT AS REFERENCE . We would be talking about infinity if 8 didn’t LOOK like infinity. You have extremely low IQ.
