Gujarat is the chemicals and pharma hub of Bharat and so it is natural that most semiconductor investments will come to Gujarat. And there are other advantages as well such as stable pro business government, well established industrial ecosystem and best infrastructure. I am too currently interning in a chemicals company and it makes me proud to see those giant plants producing critical chemicals needed around the world. My company exports over 65% produce to countries like Japan, Korea, Taiwan, USA and china.

I dont understand why we have to go to the WEST to beg for investment. China is not doing that. Why can't we develop our own venture capital firms to create investments in India, why can't we encourage entreprenaurs to stay in India (rather than force them to leave India by high taxation, poor infra) and create companies in India... Such lopsided view of our leaders, stuck in the colonial past.... the WEST is over, they will collapse soon, we should not ally with them, period.

@@harris566 Gdp of India consists contributions from 52% service sector (IT, healthcare, education, logistics, transportation, and professional services (like lawyer and accountants) 17% agricultural 30% industries (where 17% is manufacturing) Only 10% holding 75% wealth of india.. do you think these top 10% are really so smart or exceptional that no one ever was able to compete them ? Most of the flowing economic driving factor is consumer spending/remmitance and direct(with disproportions) and indirect taxation As for results despite world considering India as China alternative.. it attracted lots of investments in last years but now many withdrawn and furthermore 43% decline in FDI(foreign direct investment) does india do not have the talent ? Or they failed to produce the result ?

Imagine saving 2200 cr in a thermal electricity deal from psu.. in the history of india there is no known goverment who took such a deal for such cheap... because there were no middleware contractor to fool bureaucrats for overly charged resources and no corrupt bureaucrats to take bribes for approval

Gujarat has been the industrial powerhouse of Bharat for a LONG time. Long before Modi was even relevant because of STRONG connection to our original Sanatan culture and pro business, pro education, pro science and maths attitudes. Currently Gujarat is the number 1 state in both manufacturing (18.1% ) and exports (33%), and always remains 3rd or 4th highest FDI receiving state right after Maharashtra and Karnataka who always remain 1st and 2nd in FDI.
