The reason India’s T20 transition was smooth is because of IPL. It also the same reason we don’t have enough time to have domestic matches for Tests and ODI formats. BCCI should also implement constant India A tours every year so that we will always have a pool of players tested in international conditions

You guys discussed about conservative team selection when discussing about having N Reddy at #8. Our selectors will not move away from that approach due to recent bad memories. 2014 T20 WC Final loss to SL. We scored 134 batting 1st 2015 ODI WC loss to Aus. We scored 233 & lost by 95 runs 2017 Champions trophy Final loss to Pak. We scored 158 & lost by 180 runs 2019 ODI WC loss to Aus. We scored 221 & we were 24/4 inside 10 overs 2021 T20 WC loss to Eng. We scored 157 & lost the match by 10 wickets. We were 3 wickets down in PP. 2022 T20 WC Loss to Eng by 10 wickets. No batting collapse 2023 ODI WC. Lost to Aus. Conservative batting by Virat & KL Out of these 7 loses. We lost 4 matches due to batting collapse at the top order. Until we move from this recency bias we will continue to select team with conservative approach.

@MathuvananThiyagu educate ourself first, don't be shrinked mindset. Dubey injured and recovered. In this phase team got Nitesh Reddy as Allrounder. And who performed well. To compete with him, Dubey shld start perform well in IPL in both divisions. Dubey is slow between wkts and in even in fielding. And Ruthuraj, he also CSK player, before 12montjs he was in peak form, now he is mediocre. If he too want to come in team he need to do well in IPL and shld focus in county cricket to expand his profile and prove to the Selectors has intent, hunger and awareness of game approach too.
