Unfollowed MI, a diehard Fan of MI, since its inception as an IPL Team, because of Sachin. I disagree with MI's tactics. MI's last two years' failure in IPL was, their Team Management's poor selection of players in the Auction itself. They put all the money on one player and left out with no purse value for picking other good bowlers. They bought Jofra Archer for huge money knowing very well that he would not be available for IPL 2022. They bought Cameroon Green for 17.25 Crore and didn't buy a better Fast bowlers/Spin Bowlers for the balanced and better team combination. They made their bowling department very weak due to unthoughtful bidding in the auction. By bidding players within the maximum bid range of 10 Cr to 12 Crore, MI could have formed a enviable IPL Team but they failed miserably in this aspect. So the blame is on the part of MI management only and Rohit was not responsible for their Team's poor performance in the last two IPLs. Likewise, if you analyse the reason for GT's better performance in the previous two IPL tournaments, that's because GTs better Team combination- balanced team both with better batsmen and better bowlers and not because of Hardik Pandya's miracle performance and captaincy. Hardik is prone to injuries. Infact, he had not played few matches in those two years period in the IPL, due to his fitness issues. Even after Hardhik's inclusion in the WC squad, he couldn't play all the matches in the World Cup 2023 as he was injured in the midway. Why MI go for an Injury prone player as their captain immediately after his comeback. Firstly, the MI Team management should let Hardhik Pandya to play just as a player under Rohit's Captaincy in IPL 2024 and see how many matches he could play as a player, without any fitness issues and from the next year, they should have thought to give captaincy to Hardik. I am not totally against his selection as MI captain, but I just want this transition to happen smoothly without hurting and degrading our Hitman the Great and successful Captain Rohit.

I think most of these Marquee players can go for a huge price. These huge amount might not be an investment considering the player's future with the club. No one would want to give 15cr for a Cummins or Starc considering their inconsistency in participating in IPL, This would only be an amount for the 2024 IPL . Mega Auction comes up in 2025. The teams would retain only 4 players from their current squad. So i predict Cummins, Starc, Head, Ravindra, Mitchell, Coetzee to go for a big sum.

Considering availability, Updating the Core & Long Term.. Mitchell, Omarzai & Coetzee should be CSK's overseas targets. In my opinion, Coetzee is a MUST Buy. For domestic, SRK emerged as an all-rounder in this TNPL. Chetan Sakariya & Arshin from U19 great options. CSK has no habit of going for more than 10 crores for a single player traditionally, Except Stokes. Let's see. In my opinion, Hasaranga, Starc, Madushanka, Head & Rachin are not suitable options Considering CSK's core combination or Player availability.
