ASIA OVERLAND (Ep13) - Kyrgyzstan Part II: Yurt stay at Song Kul

In this episode, we reach Song Kul - a beautiful remote lake situated in the Northern Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan. We experience a taste of traditional nomadic life at an altitude of nearly 10,000 ft. We then head towards the border of Tajikistan where we're stuck while we wait for our visas to be processed.

Yes that track is a really special memory for us ❤️ most of the time we just find them by accident! Or look on Google maps, or chat to other overlanders 😊 in Morocco we did use an app called Wikiloc which was helpful 👍

Was this filmed sometime in September of 2022? I was in Bishkek for two weeks at that time, and there was a big border clash. Looks like we were in the country at the same time!

No, we were actually there in June 2022 - we heard about the clash when we were back :/ were you in Bishkek the whole time?

@@yakoverland4543 Ah, okay. Looks like there were multiple clashes throughout 2022. Yes! I was in Bishkek for 2 weeks. I enjoyed it, but I regret not renting a car or hiring a taxi to see the rest of the country. There's a good chance I go back to Kyrgyzstan sometime in September/October of this year. I'll be braver this time and try to explore the rest of the country haha. Love your videos by the way!
