Wang Liqin have almost like a choreographed forehand drive. His momentum is so extraordinary on the CLOCK and impossible to twithstand, even for the great Samsonov

@bartek4443 yeah he is pretty skinny, but if you watch some of his other videos where he is training, he is actually really well defined. His torso looks almost like Bruce Lee's. It is pretty impressive. He has kept himself at tip top shape for the past decade.

@ruipedro25 not only that. it's a tactical advantage to not let your opponent get used to a new paddle, especially if you have the option to decline

What is Samsonov asking about on that 1 point? Finger contact from the ball?

two players roughly the same age and height, yet one the difference in speed is so big. Wang Liqin reacts and moves so much faster than anyone his size

@EdMajinLee199999 Oh and if I'm not mistaken he was pointing out that it his his finger. Even if it did it's a legal ball.

I think Wang Liqin got angry. Cause you can see it in his shots. He hits every ball harder after he changed his racket.

@7777Willy samsonov didnt let wang liqin hit some balls with the new racket because wang liqin didnt admit to having hit twice on the ball in a point. that was a payback...

@bigduven i dont mean the point where WLQs racket was damaged!! i mean when wang changes it he wants to PRACTISE one point for his feeling for example when a ball is damaged the do this. but samsonov didn' t want because he thought we would have an advantage when he doesn 't do. He must not but when he did it would be more sportive. You know what i mean?

@7proky actually there are better examples......Samsanov isn't the ultimate striker, but he's balanced in attack and defense. Wang Liqin isn't the best comparison.

Why is Samsonov so reluctant to grant WLQ a chance to get used to the new racket? I think WLQ just changed to a racket with even more tuned rubbers.

@bartek4443 Um what are you referring to? As for mentality every country has that mentality. If you were competing for the U.S. wouldn't you feel an obligation to keep the match as legit as possible? Because win or lose the U.S. wins so it's just a matter of who's the better player.

@J0kerofHearts No Samsonov wouldn't let him warm up with it again. Typically what's usually done is you do a few counter drives and backhands to get the racket warmed up. Samsonov has the right to decline this step, but it's usually frowned upon. Samsonov has been really stupid lately. He's become rather cheap when playing. I think he realizes he's getting old and only wants to win. He doesn't care about pleasing the crowd or having fun anymore. He just wants to retire with some cash.
