Asia - You're the Stranger

Asia are an English rock group formed in 1981. The band was labelled a supergroup and included former members of veteran progressive rock bands Yes, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Uriah Heep, U.K., Roxy Music, Wishbone Ash and The Buggles. Since 2007, there have been two distinct groups using the Asia name: a reunion of the band's original line-up performing as Asia, and Asia Featuring John Payne as a continuation of the pre-2006 Asia line-up, initially featuring three of its members.

The John Payne era of Asia deserves a lot more attention and respect. The original 4 had the handful of hits that brought them to the world's attention - but Payne's era was more soulful & musically diverse. They made one great album after another, even if most of the world failed to notice.

The initial part reminds me of my best friend :( He passed away in 2015 from cancer. He was the first real friend i had or probably the only friend. We used to listen to this song at my parents beach house in the 00's. Miss him alot. Thank you ASIA for all the love you have given to me over the years. Your music should live on forever be it Wetton's or Payne's era the idea is to transmit love, compassion, passion and good values.

There is no bad album of band ASIA with john payne . However, in my opinion, ALPHA album with john wetton was the best album that they made.

Furthermore, if you have to divide the income of declining sales between 5 or 4 members, that makes an important difference...
