The visuals are wonderful. First she uncovers beautiful old pieces. She is dressed as Elvis on his come back tour with the black leather suit and the red guitar (a Hagstrom). The beehive is like Priscilla wore. Rob Christie, the Grammy winning guy on the piano, is dressed in a red suit like the band did. Her cousins and her sister appearing give me a sense of time passing. The arrangement is great. It is slower and she uses the bridge both as an intro and outro. I loved how she came in with power. Elvis’ cover of Mark James’ original was more upbeat and it gives me a sense of hope that things may turn around and their love will survive. With Angelina she gives me the feeling she is resigned that things cannot go on like this and things must change and what will be will be. Towards the end she turns it into a soft desperate plea. She changes the story around in a way possibly closer to the original meaning. There is a bunch of TikTok video’s with her playing the guitar. You might like listening to the House of the Rising Sun. M guess is that those TikToks are practice sessions where she records herself to see how it turns out. She also plays the flute and the violin though I have never seen it. Indeed her voice keeps getting better and she has about a decade to go before her voice fully matures …. and I cannot imagine what that will do to her voice. Each time it is like she cannot get any better and she of course just does with all the hard work she puts in. You might need to give it a few listenings to let it really grow on you and that is hardly a punishment :-)

This was the speed of the original, a year before Elvis did his cover, his last no 1 in the US. He didn’t appreciate it and speeded it up, thus losing the connection to the lyrics. But, as you know, Angelina is all about the story, so she’s singing the lyrics with all the meaning intended, and you feel it all! Thank you, glad to see you doing great!

What a rendition! Her Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for her My Funny Valentine video! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, 2 time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The red guitar was the same type that Elvis used. I was not expecting this! Funny thing is, this was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old….Wow!!! What a performance!

This video was her tribute to Elvis and Priscilla Presley's, their relationship during Elvis's come back period 1968. Angelina's interpretation of the lyrics to" Suspicious Minds" is Priscilla telling a story of uncertainty between them. The symbolism was displayed by Priscilla's hairdo, Elvis's Black leather jump suit , his Red guitar . By slowing the song down the lyrics told the story filled with emotion and sadness . Angelina rich velvet voice made the song more meaningful, told by a unbelievable talented young singer!

Since I am on TikTok too, you can see her constantly with guitars too. She has been interpreting several Elvis songs, since she's nine years. Doing a great job of every feeling, of the lyrics of his. While Elvis is a different and a complete musician, including dance- moves, stage acting with own exuberance, and plenty of rythem and rime. Even swallowing words with half sentences. His active melody expression of his versatility with the guitars is a world of his own. While Angelina ads passion of notes and meaning the softness, and the melodies making completely songs out of it's contents.

I couldn't agree with you more .. Elvis is a performer 100% .. charming, amazing voice, energetic, sexy as can be .. all of that and with his STAR shining bright always ... Angelina, however, is a Master storyteller .. and aside from her exquisite voice and humility .. her focus is always on getting the message across .. connecting to the heart .. to love .. in every possible way. So often I hear reactions from people re: Angelina and whatever song they're covering, they talk about how they'd never really heard the words of that song even though they really loved it. Love you guys and your reactions. A J is always taking things up a notch and this in no exception. I have watched this performance many times doing various reactors post . One of them mentioned all the plethora of symbolisms Angelina and her Grandmother Merry had in this video. They are both extremely artistically creative. I had only noticed up until then only the trappings that reflected the tribute to Elvis and his '68 come back tour. However after that comment I began to see things in the lyrics that, whether on purpose or just providence, that were quite astounding. The four scenes of the little girls all wearing the white dresses, some say are a metaphor of Angelina's rise to stardom and the fulfillment of her life time dreams as a very small child, of which she has fulfilled 99% them quite quickly in her short time here and I quite agree with that observation. But I began to notice something in the words of the song as each scene of the little girls in white dresses girls were shown, which was seemingly planned by some one for sure. The first one, a very small baby sitting in a big chair if which she no doubt could not get out on her own and she was grabbing something with her left hand that looked like some kind of restraint to hold her down from falling out . The lyrics sung for this scene was, " Caught in a trap" The next one shows a little older girl whom evidently who just learned to walk and was kind of unsure of her steps walking and the lyrics sung " I cant walk out ". Then the next one shows the little girl spinning around and kind of looking around and the lyrics " Why can't you see what you are doing to me" . Then the scene changes to show a little older girl going around with her head up and looking around, you can see her hair is not as curly as the previous little girl who spinning around before. ( P.S. this third girl turning around and looking up may have well been her little sister whom was sitting in the chair at the end of these scenes). Then there is an much older little girl (her sister) in a white dress again sitting in a chair as the baby was in then first scene , she was looking down and raised her head as the lyrics said, "when you don't believe a word I say" and then she raises her head with a smile as if to say with a look I don't believe what you say. Angelina and her Grandmother are Rembrandt's of video and and Angelina of vocal artistry .

Very interesting observations. I have never heard Angelina explain the subtle references in her videos... not even the time she went on Oslo TV to promote "Shield" and was wearing bear shoes ( I first they were bunny slippers ). One of the hosts mentioned them and she slid her feet out so people could see the shoes but didn't say a word about the double meaning. She just smiled and left it up to us to figure it out. She slipped them off when she sang "Shield", thus going from bear feet to bare feet. I read that she is very involved in every aspect of the videos she produces and imagine there are lots of symbolisms that I do not catch.

Hello guys. I'm really happy that you jumped on this one so quickly. I think this is one of her best performances to date. You can hear just how much her voice has matured lately. Her timbre, her sustained low register, her power... you name it. And this video, directed by her grandmother, Mery Zamani, is a masterpiece in its own right. Quite a feat to get all of her three grandchildren in the same video. The two first ones are Angelina's cousins; the daughters of her uncle/manager, the oldest one is her sister, Juliette. Juliette is also turning into a VERY beautiful girl, I really have to say. Obviously some very strong genes running in the family😉 You mentioned her hairdo, the beehive, which is a tribute to Priscilla's hairdo around the time she met Elvis. Then we have Angelina's black leather suit and the red guitar. Both are references to Elvis' 1968 Comeback Special. I have heard rumours that this is THE guitar from that show, which could explain why Angelina treats it like the most delicate china😄 It was auctioned to an Australian buyer for 500.000 USD. Regarding this rendition, I have to say it really made me listen to the lyrics in a different way. Nothing new in that regard. Elvis' version is very upbeat, almost happy, which doesn't really reflect the lyrics all that well IMO. With Angelina however, that all changed. She slowed it down, in true Angelina style, implemented all these small pauses and breaks that we're quite used to hear from her (which by no means is as easy to do as it may sound). She drags somewhat behind the beat, a technique often used in her wheelhouse genre, jazz. That, combined with her beautiful breathy voice, makes you feel connected to the lyrics, as if she is talking to you one on one. At least to ME it does 🙂 BTW, Angelina just recently came back to Norway for the first time in three years. 2 days ago she performed 2 songs on the same TV show where she performed "What A Difference A Day Makes" when she was 8. The programme is called Allsang På Grensen. Her 2 performances there are very much worth reacting to, at the very least her performance of "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston. Then she will perform at one of the globally most well known jazz festivals, called Kongsberg Jazzfestival. She has also performed here a few times before. Then she will finish her Norway tour off with two concerts on the 7th and 10th of July. I will see her on the July 10th concert, and I'm just like a little child on Xmas eve. Then she goes back to LA before she has a concert in Japan. She speaks Japanese, so that's easy piecy for her 🤣🤣🤣 She has done it before, too. Here in Norway she was interviewed by a Norwegian magazine, and she confirmed that she is hard at work on her upcoming album. She also confirmed that it will contain material that she has written herself. No release date has been confirmed, but I have heard rumours saying that it is due out in August. Don't hold me to it. Angelina just finished high school, so it's pretty dang interesting to see if THIS is the time she will try to make it big. At least, based on the latest stuff I have heard by her, I feel safe that her voice is ready for the wear and tear that goes with it. This are interesting times for any Angelina fans. So interesting that it makes some of them write waaaaay longer comments than they use to (to select reactors I might add 👍) I have a lot more on my mind, but I will shut up. For now. Angelina has always been wonderfully engaging, but now her voice gets warmer and deeper each time and her slower version of this iconic song is truly fantastic, for me much closer to the emotion of the lyrics than Elvis's version. Elegant and very sweet, she really enters her our heart. Still growing. Just turned 17! Can only imagine how far she can go. Angelina is always respectful of the original artists, whilst making each Cover thoroughly her own! You're right, and it's not the first time her rendition of a well known song makes us REALLY pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics- that we've all been singing along to for years, sometimes for decades! I like the various 'nod's' she gives to Elvis; the leather outfit, the guitar, the beehive (Priscilla) hairstyle. Love it all. The pianist was brilliant also, setting and whole production, camera work, lighting, everything was excellent. 😊👋👋👋
