Actually real Asians, not those who live in western country and seriously influenced by western society, do start their relationship like the drama (of course not everyone is good looking). Aww, I was squealing whenever I saw the K-Drama scenes! I love K-Drama that is so adorable like that, and innocent! It's like everything is exaggerated, but to be honest in real life if you really like someone it *is* exaggerated in your head. Like how something as simple as a peck on the cheek may be your whole dream being unfolded right in front of you, I know what it's like. I wished all of this could happen to me, but unfortunately I only watch my crush from afar. It makes me so sad and envious of people who actually experience the "K-Drama romance" life, first kisses, first hugs and so on. Right when the song Orange Soda came on during their first holding hand scene, I was so happy -wipes tear-. Does anyone know the Chinese song when it was the first hug? Or I'll just try searching it for myself right now...

One step towards experiencing something... well, more like asian drama and less like "real life" is respect towards the other person and real love - not selfish love. (Asian dramas annoy me sometimes, tbh, sometimes they portray a love that isn't quite right.) If you, even before loving someone *romantically*, love a person just simply as a person - as a friend, asquantance, classmate workmate or whatever, then YOU are ready to experience such a thing. If they are the same way *and* happen to be inlove with you - then there's nothing in the way. The thing about dramas is they unravel in 12 or 24 hours, but real life doesn't. In real life you fall inlove in ten other people before experiencing that. In real life you have to be sooo patient and understanding it gets old, hah. Being patient, respectful and valuing your crush even if they don't like/love you back isn't seen as romantic at all in today's society, but I'm telling you - it's the real deal. Stay strong and don't betray your own heart. :) Maybe your future boy won't climb a mountain top to bring you the hairpin holding sentimental value for you because you felt down for not having it with you, but don't let yourself believe it is impossible to love someone that much and to be loved by someone that much! :) It defintely is.

I feel that in drama life, the moments seem to be much slower but you cherish it. Especially when the character finally gets to be with the guy! But in real life, I guess it depends on what you are doing in the moment and what plans you have but it definitely feels to be much faster. People instantly want the relationship to go fast and get things rolling. In dramas, yes it does makes us become hopeful but I think it even helps us show that we can make moments last and become more special than compared to now, we have immediate contacts at the tips of our fingers. Waiting patiently=drama life. Instant gratification=real life.
