I think it’s to shape their nose to look smaller. I think it works by the strands are sticky so it sticks the two side of the nostrils together thus making it look smaller. Does that make sense? Sorry I’m not well at explaining things :P

For anyone else curious, they're using these things called "V Shape Face Labels" or a similar lift tape on their chins. And the nose stuffing can be various things, most women use pegs instead of the tissues/strings. And some women use wax on the outside of the nose.

Most beauty standards and ideals are rather up for debate.

I only wear makeup sparingly myself, for gigs/photoshoots/videoshoots, which is not often and usually extremely artistic (not the usual "pretty" makeup).
