I should not disappoint you, but this will not last exterior exposure, other than the paint by time will become milky, all the wood joints will crack. Plus a good chance the stains will fade. Its advisable not to expose to external elements. The heavier paint you apply the more chances of issues.

Wood shrinks and expands, hence all the joints you are trying to nail to will crack, the putty you are using will not glue the wood pieces together. For those type of door, I suggest sanding 180 grit sandpaper, the mouldings sanded using steel wool, then sanding everything 320 grit sandpaper, if you want serious outdoor exposure then use teak oil, or apply a thin coat of PU type sanding sealer sand 320 sandpaper and apply light coat of flat PU topcoat, try to keep the joints loose this is wood not steel. What you are doing the client will be happy to see now but not happy after a short period
