I'm Vietnamese and so when I moved out of my mom's house I tell you my apartment was decorated in Asian Decor but that was a long time ago. I love these pieces and using the soy sauce as stain was genius . Needless to say I have bottles of soy sauce I can use. TFS Kimo and have a blessed weekend!

Hi Kimo! You are brilliant to even think of staining the wood with soy sauce!!! It keeps with the theme and stained nicely. I personally would use Beacon Fabri Tac to glue the things together. I love the final results! The style of the riser you made actually reminds me of the end tables back in the 60's. I really love ALL of your projects today...... simplistic and beautiful and creative. You always inspire me 😊💖🤗 Hugs....Janie

Awww thank you Janie! That is too kind of you. Long ago, I saw someone use soy sauce to stain paper, kind of like a tea stain or coffee stain. I hoped that technique would work for this project as well, and it seemed to work great! And yes, I totally know what you’re talking about with those end tables. We are on the same wavelength! Hope you’re having a good one!❤️👋
