To give Bang Si Hyuk credit... it would not have been possible for BTS to flip the power dynamic between company and artist without Bangs complicit participation. He talked from the begining of a structure that was not hierarchical but more horizontal. He had the intelligence and lack of ego to recognise the contributions and effectiveness of accepting ideas from his artists. When he recognised the power was slipping away, he did not try to grasp and clamp down, he facilitated. You dont need to be intelligent to love BTS but attracting a fandom a generally more intelligent fandom is also like an insurance policy. Intelligent fans are less likely to be swayed by media gossip. They will investigate, research. They are not passive. They learned how to use the system, think tactically and organise. This is an aspect of ARMY that is extremely enjoyable. There is a culture and feeling of being part of a cohesive society so at odds with the fractured divided world we see around us.

I had a plan when BTS went into the military, l thought that they won’t be releasing an album so l could save my money over this 2 years and be ready for the big return album and concerts etc…. But oh no BTS went solo and all seven put out an album and merchandising individually. So instead of buying one or two albums over this time ,l have paid for seven albums plus movies etc etc. not to mention the streaming etc…Don’t get me wrong l am enjoying the content and would not have it any other way .💜 Honourable mention to JIn who has not taken a breath since returning to us.

My ultimate dream is to see more support for the RL. Because I feel each individual rappers success is coming more from their fan base they’ve accumulated and not so much from Army’s as a whole. Because you can’t tell me that the musical genius in production, lyrics and composition behind many of bts’s s successful songs including vl songs, can not get the same Army numbers as the vocal line. Even just out of respect for the RL contributions to BTS musically and projects for other artists and their own projects, army’s should be pushing them to the top too

Perhaps if the industry would have welcomed them in instead of trying to destroy them they might have become part of their industry and the big 3 would still have control ,but because they blocked BTS, they took a different path and that is what made them successful. Times always change and people who were successful have to change with the times or they get overtaken by others who are willing to risk the change and ultimately become more successful. What worked years ago has to keep improving or they become dinosaurs from the past.

I am a baby army been following since a bit over six months (I'm 63). For what is worth this is my conclusion as well, they had to figure out another way they had no choice.. They suffered so much heartbreak and hardship, but they persevered and triumphed. I just hate the fact there is still so much toxicty towards them. Some people expect them to just move out of the way to give other artists a chance? That's not how it works it's a competitive business. There's Jealousy and envy I understand those emotions or feelings. But those spreading hate and negativity on others rather than encouraging their favorite artists is just sad. I knew of BTS but not really anything about them but luckily my sis and her three daughters are fans of BTS AND kpop my sis helped me set up a spotify account and I've been streaming videos their Run Bts videos have me laughing they make me laugh so hard especially Suga and V. Ive delved into their personal stories as well through their 10th anniversary book. I adore them all. Reading about their continuing struggles made me cry. Deciding to follow them when I did happened to coincide around the time the whole Min hee debacle coming to light. The hate sent Suga's way because of his incident shook me and made me doubt my ability to be an Army.but I made a decision to be strong for myself and for those that get bullied. The fact that here have been multiple brazen attempts to try to pull other members into this fight, and hate directed at Jimin's win has made me realize that I made the right decision in following. I May be half a world away from SK AND BTS but I will continue to support and encourage them . I hope to one day see a concert but I know how competitive it will be ,perhaps the closest I will come is living with my sis and her daughters who have seen concerts by Seventeen,TXT and Jackson Wang. Who knows anything is possible. 💜💜🫰

I don't know much about BTS music, I started to follow each BTS member as soloists, and I'm OT7. How is this NOT making me Army? I'm definitely and undoubtedly Army , just that my roots didn't grow from BTS as music group, but from each member that is part of BTS individually. Because they all come from BTS, BTS is like "holy" name to me, however, strictly speaking, I listen solo albums and music, not BTS music (I might start listening band in future as well). Guys, we may be different in what exactly attracted us to BTS members or to BTS as group, but our goals and objectives are the same. I am rooting for further BTS success as much as I am rooting for individual success of each member. As long as members make music, I'm fine, be it as soloists or a group. I'm solid rock Army weather you agree or not.

They do go against the system and the other big K-pop companies aren’t so much fighting against it as they are so invested and entrenched in it that they are having a hard time leaving it. JYP is trying with Stray Kids and I’ve seen glimmers of pushback from other groups but it will take a looong time.

I personally have no idea how it feels for someone not resonating with the music of each member in the big old year of 2024. like, firstly some members have had intros from long ago, then they had wings era solos, then love yourself solos, mots solos, pre-debut projects and now have actual debuts. all of them are so diverse that as for me it's no longer possible that not even one song of a certain member doesn't resonate with a person. there are almost no genres left bts didn't try nit just as a group but as soloists as well, maybe phonk okay yeah, found one. but if you like phonk bts dem hiphop songs like smfpt2 exists as well. I guess I'm just too lucky to be able to sincerely love at least some songs of each of the tannies

The idea that someone is in your way of being more successful is a very crab in the bucket mentality. Just because someone wins an award or is very successful it doesn't take away from your favs current success or their future success either. I think there were a lot of people who thought since BTS was going into the military they would be gone from the music industry but they didn't account for BTS solo work being so active during this time and they are pissed they are so successful at this as well. I think a lot of people should stop focusing on their groups trying to beat BTS when their heights are unheard of even compared to a lot of western acts and focus on keeping their group successful in general for a long time. Heck even second place is a huge achievement if you are being compared to or up against BTS or it's members. Army is going to vote for anything BTS members are nominated in (with some rare exceptions of those we deem unworthy of our attention). Do you see how hard Lim Young Woong fans go? It's impressive. Focus on going hard for your artists and don't be impatient to get to places fast build your community of fans.

Thinking about how BTS would've handled the situation NJ is in, I think it's safe to say that *BTS WOULD NEVER!!!!* BTS has been so lowkey and humble from the beginning and there's no way they would've been so incredibly disrespectful, rude and immature the way NJ is being. I think a lot of it has to do with their team and the people they have around them too. The BTS crew wouldn't have let them do what the NJ girls did with the Aespa stickers, nor would they have been so disrespectful if they had to testify the way Hanni was to CEO Kim Ju-Young without consequences. I think they would've been as classy as Illit and LeSerrafim are. But when you have a witch at the helm, your lines of what's right, respectful and decent become distorted. The way NJ has been handling this situation has completely turned me off and I have no respect for them.

I feel like new solo fans lose a lot of background on the guys. I dont want to say OT7 know them better, but I have noticed a lot of hate towards Individual promotions or projects and they blame HYBE or BH, instead of maybe recognizing that the artists themselves probably wanted them to go a certain way. I feel like V is the most of all the members who's solo fans dont get him. Im sure from what he said on his interviews from Layover that the way he is expressing his artistry and promotions are decided by him. He gets the most of solos saying he is abused, because he didnt have a documentary (yet) like the others, or he didn't get a tick tock or a longer video or more weeks promotions. But I think V did things his on way and he chose his own promotions and he had a different vision and his music was meant to be listened and loved differently. Same with RM on RPWP he decided a different stage. They all had the same time to create their projects and for some it took more time and different venues. And as OT7 I understand them and I receive any little or big projectbin any way they want. Christmas songs for V, bring them on. Artsy documentary for RM that may make me nauseous of its all wobly old school video..ok A Rock album and multiple shows from Jin lets do it. Apple documentary and live performances ok. A freaking tour, I could hope 😂.. Im all in it for their own colors. And then we can come back to Bora world

And i am not even biased here, just from the design standpoint they are best, they are so recognisable and simple that you can draw each character just with eyes, nose and mouth on a blan paper without any other outlines and you will recognise them. Other groups charaters i saw are much more busier designs or won't work as universaly as bt21.

@carolawasberg6271 I like Stray kids, they seem real thing to me, nothing fake like - and I apologise for saying this - Jenni for example. She does make songs that will top the charts, but she mostly sings about how beautiful and sexy she is and how everyone wants her, yadada (does everyone really want her? I'm pretty sure there are guys completely immune on her looks. Just another pretty doll in the sea of pretty dolls). Well enjoy girl, if this is all you have to say at your 30ies, and coming from a hierarchical society in which beauty standards are source of REAL and toxic social segregation, then what to say about somone who adds to this. You either have no intellect, or you are also a narcissist that isn't aware that beauty comes and goes. I give her 10 more years, then younger and prettier girls will steal that boring shallow line from her. Stray kids try to show their diversity and I'm pretty sure that once they establish their international status better, which is normal because at lrast two members grew up as Australians so they naturally would lean toward western music than (just) stay limited with k pop, they will folow BTS's creative path. I think this is what boys want and are hoping for, to have compkete creative freedom, like BTS do. I hope that company will let them have it, and won't see just mere products in them. And I hope that they reveal themselves from chains of toxic korean fandom mentality and get more open and intelligent international fans, because this might liberate them creatively. BYS guys have what no one in Korea has: intelligent, understanding, loyal and very supportive fandoms. What others have is "isn't our love enough" or "you had a girlfiend you have to leave the group". Our boys are, in a way, lucky to have us Armys, this helped them to walk their individual creative way as group and as individuals. They were able to do it because we never saw him as products and idols, but as talented young people that have lot of substancial to say and show. Stray kids don't have that, but at least they are trying to get rid of that suffocating "idols" role and mere kpop factory products and leave their own mark on their work. And I respect that. Because it is not easy to do that if you live and are based in Korea. Our boys are proof how hard is that, how much hate and jealousy it brings. And how much sacrifice they had to give up to be able to be who they are today. One of the greatest, and the greatest boy band in history. I want that chance for Stray kids too, for they seem to be genuine artists.

Please someone make a KZbin playlist of the pushed songs and actualize it weekly. That would be much easier to push the songs.

It's time to stop putting BTS in the kpop category. They have long since transcended that genre. Kpoppies are actually ignorant of fans outside Korea they don't really know how absolutely huge ARMY are. We are around 1 billion strong around the world and from what I see still growing. Jimin won top award at MAMA and other fandoms are accusing him of fraud. He's not here he's serving his country. Army were streaming in massive numbers. He deserves to win. To see him get disrespected and sent hate is all kinds of messed up. Othe groups have not gone through 10 years of hell they don't have a story to tell. They release songs that mean nothing and copy BTS. I am so angry that BTS are disrespected this way especially as they have brought so much to the country they adore. What an absolute disgrace their country doesn't love them back. The funeral wreaths sent to HYBE asking Suga to leave BTS were a disgrace to the country how disgusting that was. He fell off a scooter that does not require a licence plate or licence. 5 year old kids can ride them. Shane on Korea, if you don't want BTS there are plenty of countries that do. Think about this. None of those other groups will ever have the fandom size to make a difference. NO BTS no ARMY with that massive spending power. BTS have some extremely rich fans who spend big time on anything BTS touches and visits anywhere the boys have too to bring money to those places. All that stops if BTS stops. The disrespect is vile and shameful

Why is it acceptable to have j-hope and RM lagging so far behind in the billions club? Shouldn't something be done to bring them more in line with the rest? How can anyone take ot7 seriously with these disparities?
@CMAGCJ4 күн бұрын
Why would you get hate messages because you have a bias? Who said that real Armys can’t have one? I think that the Tannies are all so different and make different music in different genres, that it’s normal to be more related to one of them. The important thing is to love and support the seven of them. I hate the term Real Army’s, too.
@AnneMorr3 күн бұрын
The issue isn’t having a bias. The issue is when fans don’t support the group in its entirety and only push for their bias. That’s not what the group is about. They full support each other so we should be able to do the same.
@CMAGCJ3 күн бұрын
@ Yeahh, I agree. Still, I don’t understand why having a bias is a reason to getting hate messages. That’s just how toxic fans act. You can love and support all seven of them even if you have a favorite. That’s just human nature, you relate to things and people that do the things you like.

Yes she made Adore an empty Shell when the girls was the onley group and with that Hybe can in court give the proof of that she did drag the company down and loosing money and reputation. Hybe needs to act quick and get a new group in

Nj is still their. Their will be a boy group next. But not yet. Bighit and hybe are japan are debuting boy groups next year
@0xyGen_2.p04 күн бұрын
It isn't empty shell, they just cleared out the company, will probably rename it, re-brand it and start with new artist(s). Ador needs to be cleared out of evil, satanistic worshipping and toxic people poisoning the air and people in it, and this is what's its going to happen now. Once you throw garbage out, you are left with clean house able to host new habitants. So this is the path that company will go.

Ador should debut new girl group after Newjeans disbandment. Also, they should remove some of the poison rats staff in Ador. Katseye should have won the best dance performance not those unenergetic clunky moves of that group...🤐

Hard times ahead 😅

The top floor, if ADOR vacates it could be filled with Korean and international artists and musicians on artists residencies. Illustrators animators and musicians could come and have their own little studios for 3 to 6 months at a time a separate communal artists space could be really fun. And Hybe artists could collaborate with them organically if both wanted to... They could display their work or have music sessions in Hybe's gallery too.

I think you’re wrong about 5050. The difference between Hybe/NJ and Attrakt/5050 is that Attrakt terminated the contracts unconditionally. This is exactly what the members were asking for in the injunction. The failure of the injunction does not reflect the validity of the underlying financial and mistreatment claims, and the only reason I can see for Attrakt to let them go is the possibility of the members prevailing in the end. As I understand it, the suit filed jointly against Warner’s, the Givers, the parents and the members were for tampering, not breach of contract. The members counter sued for the Cupid money owed, and last I heard Attrakt is suing Warner’s individually for tampering. It seems to me the 3 ex members are off the hook for tampering or breach of contract and that they will eventually get paid for Cupid (I still hear it every time I go to Walmart). Time will tell, but I think they’re sitting pretty and will do well in the US with their new venture.

I really think that Seventeen is one of the biggest victims of BTS's success. I am just so happy that they finally won a Daesang last year. It is also Ironic that they are under the same umbrella organization but despite this, you can see how respectful Seventeen are about BTS success.
@sharonnelson37134 күн бұрын
You know the word “victim” makes it sound like BTS purposely did something to harm another. That term also takes away from Seventeen their diligence, skills, talent, and hard work. With Seventeen’s success I don’t think they were because of BTS. The music industry is a very competitive world especially in Kpop. Also, BTS is very respectful to everyone. You know the much used term “victim” really takes away the true meaning of it and takes away from those who were actual victims. The careless use of it has degraded so much that people don’t care as much as they used to just like the term “racist”. Nobody cares anymore or scared of it. Just a food for thought. No shade meant.
@TheJacqueswong4 күн бұрын
@@sharonnelson3713 How about suggesting a word then? I was thinking in the lines of being a victim of circumstance. As good as Seventeen are, they had the misfortune of being at BTS's way, much like in sports where a lot of athletes didn't get to win because of that one dominant person (ex. Michael Jordan).
@sharonnelson37134 күн бұрын
@ That’s how the world is. It’s not purposeful towards others. If you know anything about BTS then you would know that they had goals to make it in Kpop and not necessarily to become #1 and stay there for a long time and becoming global where they can’t be touched by not only Kpop groups but the entire world. That was not their goal and even the members have said they themselves were surprised and didn’t know how or why it happened. The only thing that made sense to them was army’s support and love and gives credit to army. As RM said “they brought up this little Korean boy group to the world “. BTS just wanted to put out good quality music. So Seventeen is not a victim of circumstance as they are talented and skilled group who has also found much success in a tough world of K-pop and receiving love and attention from the world.
@laggingway16014 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say they are victims. It is just their timing. There is always a global group that occupies success and it is very hard to compete or replace them once they have global fandom. Incase of BTS they have occupied so many 'first time' achievements no other groups can surpass them. They need to do do something BTS has not done to compete and have same level of popularity and show their uniqueness. In kpop, its gonna take while because of their format not because there are no talents.
@TheJacqueswong4 күн бұрын
@@laggingway1601 That is actually my point. They are victims of circumstance. They debuted just a few years after BTS so all their success was overshadowed. It is only recently when BTS is on military service that they finally got the recognition after 10yrs. Anyway, Seventeen have just won their 2nd Daesang in a row which I think is well deserved and very timely since BTS will be back soon. It is similar to the Houston Rockets who finally won an NBA championship after Michael Jordan left for 2 years.

@roguechevelle4 күн бұрын
Well because of kmedia and korean tv if you see idols from the big 3 everywhere constantly you think they are really popular in general. It's why the general public was oblivious to BTS' growing international fame until it was too big for kmedia to obscure. There was a street interview done not long after BTS won their first US award for Top Social Artist at the 2017 Billboard Music Award (it might have been Asian Boss can't remember now) where they asked Korean people on the street and most were surprised, they thought Exo was more popular that's because domestically speaking that's all they ever heard talked about. I remember xCeleste even mentioning during a reaction video that she went to Korea when travel opened up again after the pandemic and despite BTS having huge success with Dynamite & Butter she was surprised there wasn't bigger noise there about it and not more BTS advertisement in local shops as other idols got cuz other idols faces were everywhere.

How are ARMYs completely ignoring that they left a member behind? Isn't it a big problem that the fandom is incapable of getting a fan voted award for j-hope? How many times are they going to say next time before it actually means something?
@ruthfischer76154 күн бұрын
🙄 They didn't "leave a member behind" - many voted for him but there was only so much you can vote for. Winning for 4 of 10 places when you have to divide the votes is very very very good. Do you think that other fandoms - who do not have to divide their votes do not vote for their group? That are so few groups that do well that it is "easy"?
