Anyone who supports Deion and wants him to succeed as a coach should NOT want him to go to Dallas! Do we really think he can fix that franchise and get Jerry to step down? I don’t!
@pmmcrobbАй бұрын
Deion is perfect for college. College football coaching is about personality. There’s no salary cap, you can get any player you want in the country. You’ve just gotta convince the kid to come play for you. Look at how many transfers Colorado has gotten in the past two years. Pro football coaching is about scheming. You have a draft to get players, and you’re dealing with a hard salary cap. You get X amount of talent, and you’ve gotta figure out how to maximize that talent. I’ve got no problem with Deion getting a shot at coaching in the NFL. But for every Jim Harbaugh, you’ve also got your Nick Sabans. 297-71 in college, 15-17 in the NFL.
@NezzBlessedАй бұрын
Yes. I at first was thinking he would be good. But this 1 guy helped me understand. It’s all about finessing to get players. And easier to coach college players up instead of nfl. U are getting a 6’1 WR in college right out of high school. Much easier to have him play great in college compared to the NFL especially with him having his son coached to be a qb from the best ever earlier on. He won’t have all these kids like that in the nfl because ur taking a gamble on a draft spot not about your pull with popularity and and hype. Travis hunter is incredible and would still be seen as great but he wouldn’t have the same success with the media if he didn’t go to Colorado.

Everyone also seems to forget that Deion has said repeatedly he has no desire to coach in the NFL. Seems to be everyone skips over him saying flat out that he doesn't want to do it and assumes if enough people speak on it he'll go back on that decision. Do I think he'll stay in college I'm not 100% he would but I'm fairly sure he wouldn't want to go to Dallas and deal with Jerry and his meddling as his first pro gig.

Very true but towards the end like SAS said, it’s not about whether he wants to or not. It’s about if he’s the best fit for the cowboys if they were to be looking for another coach. He may not want to but that wont stop someone from attempting to call to offer that position and money! On top of that, in that clip he mentioned the AD being in the room. Why would he even entertain that period when his literal boss is in the room lol. I have a feeling he’d most def leave to coach his son. Other than that if he can’t coach him he’d probably coach somewhere after 2-3 years to see if he can or if the team he coaches can acquire him.

I am gonna say that I agree with Russo that deion works better as a college coach than an NFL coach but for specific reasons 1. Deion can be a great recruiter with simply being able to walk into parents homes and using his charm and charisma sell families on sending their children to play for him at CU or FSU or wherever and be able to build a consistent program. Also even when he has a down year recruiting he has the transfer portal to bring him a fresh group of players from elsewhere, which does not exist in the NFL where you are limited to the degree with which you can remake a team due to the salary cap and and player contract restrictions. 2. Jerry Jones and Deion are two very strong personalities who will clash and will do so publicly which is why it ended with Jimmy the way it did. I believe that Deion can be an NFL head coach I just think that the college game really is made for someone of his gravitas and personality.

Jerry will never give up the power so its going to be a coach that Jerry will be able to control

As a lifelong Cowboys fan I stopped watching the games and stopped buying gear...it sucks 😞😞 it time to make the Dallas Cowboys great again 🤘🏻🤘🏻

That’s his opinion and he has the right to say it. It’s not true but it’s his opinion…

Deion wouldn't have the luxury, like he did at CU, to gather the players around on day one and tell them they may want to hit the transfer portal because he's building from the ground up. The NFL is whole different animal. You have to dance with whoever's in the room. Nick Saban and Urban Meyer were also suppose to be sure fire hits in the NFL. We know how that turned out.
@gregfrank4297Ай бұрын
He gotta say stuff like that, off the field their job is to keep people interested & nobody interested in a team that gave up

Jerry Jones talking to that radio host that it’s not his place to question him and if he doesn’t like the questions he will get a new person to ask the questions is hilarious.

I dont know if they remember this, but Jerry has done this with Jimmie Johnson and Bill Parcell. Jerry is about Me, Myself and I when it comes to who deserves the spotlight and Deion or Belecheik wont work until Jerry gives up the head of the table.

As a Cowboys fan I can see Jerry trying to bring in Kellen Moore as HC 😂🤦♂️ I’d like to see a Ben Johnson/Steve Spagnuolo type of coaching change.

Might be a stretch but who's to say the dont just bring Nick Saban out of retirement?
@ryanvieira4790Ай бұрын
Saturday just nailed it. Bill has already coached a LT before. Big facts huge even.

Maddog knows Deion would be successful on the NFL level, he just doesn't want to see it happen ..
@Kyle-vl6ueАй бұрын
The problem with this is Deion has said he is not interested in the NFL . He has said he would fire half the team if there not giving the effort they need too win
