Brigadier Benjamin Maja Adekunle was a special man. He was born for war and that is why his contemporaries like Gen Obasanjo hated him. He was uncharitable about him in his book. President Tinubu should name a monument after him in FCF after him. He laid down his life for unappreciating country. What a shame.

My zillion appreciation, for your wonderful presentation (above) of (3rd Marine Commando). Like the excellent gallant soldier was usually referred to then. I was a teenager, when he then resigned. His name was among others, a household's one (especially, in Lagos, Nigeria). He was quite active. Simple (in public). I can at least recall 2 or more occasions, when I spotted him in public!!!
