i reaaly wish this was a huge trend. for me, this never really happened. i was convinced that loving yourself is bad and you were just being really selfish and full of yourself. apparently your supposed to feel bad all the time and i just think all this stuff is stupid. i hope one day, in my community, everyone will be able to love their selves and others

Sabina Naurin this is exactly why I think self love being portrayed as positive in the media today is a good thing! I grew up the same way! Everything was considered conceited and arrogant, but there really is a difference. I'm still on my own journey to self love, but I'm hoping that the young ones growing up realize that it is ok to love themselves. So they don't have to go through the same things we did.

For those of you saying it's not accurate, it truly is. Obviously fashion trends aren't going to be the same EVERYWHERE that is especially true if you live in smaller rural or suburban areas. This is actually pretty true to what the more high fashion and Instagram inspired looks have geared towards. Personally I think 2017 is great so far fashion wise, it's very pretty and feminine and the look has a much more mature twist to it. In my opinion 2016 was also great and I loved how many looks incorporated edgier pieces.

Why are people saying the 2017 one is inaccurate? 00's fashion is coming back with a vengeance!
