Ninõ Bonito Lance it breaks my heart when kids don't think the body they're given isn't right and they need to change it. They were born with a beautiful body. They were born who they are for a reason. There's no need in changing into someone who you're not

Fia Pie okay. I get your view. But as a Ftm trans guy I must say people who feel uncomfortable in their skin change themselves so that not only are they happy but they also have a better state of mind. Nobody does it for attention either. I get bullied for being trans and also taunted. The reason why people do it is to better themselves so they don't do something REALLY stupid like suicide. I'm sorry you don't agree with it but thanks for taking an adult approach on this.

as a heterosexual female who identifies with my given name and gender, transitioning, transgender, non binary and all of that is extremely difficult for me to understand. but what i do understand is that love is love and it warmed my heart to see two people with such different beliefs prove that love is more important than our differences. we don't have to always understand each other, just love and respect each other. also, to the incredibly brave person who made this video, im so lucky to be able to hear your story and proud of you for making the choice that was right for you. you are brave and strong and beautiful and wise and compassionate and i appreciate all of that so much

As a trans person myself, I watch these videos to try to understand what others have gone through as I'm going through my transition. I also look through the comments for wonderful people like you. I tend to look for support because I can't technically get a lot where I am now, and half the time I just end up crying because people who don't understand tend to become rude towards others. You my dear are just an amazing woman for supporting people that you don't technically understand. Thank you, it's what I needed

Intelligence? The ability to acquire and apply knowledge doesn’t even come into the equation. Maybe the word you’re looking for is understanding? Understanding of your child’s decisions is one thing but being ‘intelligent’ is a completely separate entity, mixing the two in this scenario is somewhat offensive. Hailing someone as intelligent that witnesses and encourages actions that promote a worsened state of mental illness is just downright wrong and perhaps ironic. Did you know that roughly 40% of trans people have attempted suicide at one point in their life, regardless of whether they have ‘transitioned’. An ‘intelligent’ thing to do would be to give these people the help they need to get back to normal.

As a mom I can’t imagine the emotional roller coaster she’s feeling. As a religious person, I understand where she is coming from. If this was my daughter going through this I would feel heart broken over all of what’s happening; my child not being happy and going through what they’re going through & at the same id feel depress that the human being that I created is not happy, like my body made a mistake in creation. I really hope you & your mom find peace together ❤️

I still think that it's just ridiculous that if Branson were to show their chest before surgery, it would be censored because "Ooooh, female nipple", but after surgery, now that the body looks classically male, it's fine. If this was a male to female video, it would be the opposite and the end result would then be censored. So stupid.

I know a lot of people have soooo much to say about these videos. I'm not for or against anything. What angers me or just confuses me, is, why do strangers on the internet have so many issues with what others do to their own bodies? You don't have to live it,you don't know these people. It should not matter to you what a total stranger does to themselves.

Pretty sure that the makers of these videos do so to begin conversation and if you want to be accepted for who you are these conversations need to happen. Whether you like it or not, people will have an opinion and like to express those opinions. Do you honestly expect people to play pretend for you? Ultimately I dont give a damn what choices you make regarding your body, but I can empathise with Branson's mother, because I am a mother and I have a daughter of my own.

I tried hard not to cry but I still ended up crying. I plan on getting top surgery this fall and although my mom has given her blessing for it, it still makes me nervous. There will be a lot of emotion brought up for her when that time comes so it's just difficult to imagine how it will go. I'm still beyond excited though, and I know she loves me no matter what. I'm so thankful to have her. My biological dad is severely transphobic and homophobic so I haven't had him in my life at all since coming out, and he's not even aware of it. I don't ever expect his acceptance, so even though my mom and I have struggled through a lot regarding my transition (especially in the beginning) I wouldn't trade it or her for anything. I really loved the way this was pieced together, this video was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story!💛

Know that your pain and sadness because something you didn't get but them is something they need which is your love and support. You unaccepting them can damage/ lead to depression or suicide. I'm not saying "Branson was a girl and now they're not", I'm sure Branson was always Branson! But these people get the insight of how the world treats you depending on how you're presenting. Also, struggle builds character, and I'll be damned if this isn't a struggle! I cherish LGBTQ+ wisdom.

dont really understand what they're saying about breasts and chests not having gender, yet they are choosing to get their breasts removed because.......? I feel like they are indeed associating breasts with being female, and didn't really respond to their mom when she questioned it. I'm not trying to be disrespectful I just don't understand the reasoning.
@sasha9883
@sasha9883 6 жыл бұрын
I think the point is that Branson had dysphoria around their breasts but that not all non-binary people necessarily have the same experience of dysphoria. Some might want surgery, others may not. Also, someone's gender identity is not limited by their physical body. Branson didn't identify as female before their surgery but the surgery helped them to feel more comfortable in a body that matches their gender identity. A trans man who is planning on top surgery but hasn't had it yet is no less a man, and a non-binary AFAB person without dysphoria around their breasts is still non-binary rather than female.

I would give your mom a little bit of grace when it comes to pronouns and names. You have to think, this is the woman who birthed you, and took great care in creating the person you are. That type of change of calling you a different name, and pronoun doesn’t happen over night.

This is so important. It goes to show that everyone isn’t born accepting and understanding, but trying to learn and love no matter what is the most important thing. Here is a mother who truly cares for her son, and she is learning and going against everything she believes in to support him in what is important to him. And that is beautiful, it really is

Every moment of your video was enjoyable with all the positive vibes, despite your mom struggling to get the hold of the things her religious beliefs taught her to be wrong. Thanks for sharing your journey or atleast a part of it with us friend.

I don't like people like the ones who comment things like "Transsexuality doesn't exist. God gave you a body. Appreciate it!".. You're watching videos about stuff you hate or don't like or don't tolerate or whatever, just to let the producers know that you are against their life. Against them. Against what they feel. Am I watching documentarys about religions, just to comment how much I feel uncomfortable near super religious people, just because I know that the church they believe in, is basically against my sexuality, my appearance and probably even against the music I'm hearing? No. I don't. Cause I don't want myself to be in a bad mood from watching videos about people that make me uncomfortable.

This helped me so much. I've recently admitted to myself that I'm a demi-boy (someone who goes by male/unisex pronouns) and I've only had the court to tell my closest friends that I want reassignment surgery. My mom is very religious, but I'm not. Nobody calls me by my preferred name, except a few, and they even slip up. Sometimes I feel that I'm stuck in a body, called Cathryn, and I'll be stuck here forever. This video paved the way for me coming out to my mom. Hopefully she takes it well...

I live in a very religious area and, though am not living the same journey, have lost loved ones because the way I choose to live my life doesn’t jive with their belief system. GM Mmm I identify myself with femininity and I am percieved female. I am not, I am nonbinary, but it's easier to call myself lesbian. I don't really mind the implication that I am female because I am comfortable and confident in my trans identity. I understand the concern with me not being female and identifying with a label that implys that the people that use the label are women, but this is how I identify and it's ultimately up to me to decide how I want to label myself. I'm not trying to start a fight so please be respectful!!!

fiddling_whales Of course. It is your wish to Label yourself as you choose on a different note I must ask though if you do not mind being perceived as female does that mean you don’t have social dysphoria? What makes you trans if you are alright with being perceived female and moving in W|W circles?
@fiddling_whales5430
@fiddling_whales5430 6 жыл бұрын
GM Mmm I do have social dysphoria. A lot of it actually, but I can't really do anything about it at the moment. And what makes you trans is not a specific type of dysphoria. What makes a person trans is whether or not they decide they are and it's not really the place of anybody to question that. Dysphoria is a pretty personal subject for me, as it is for a lot of trans people, so I'll just say this. I do struggle with being misgendered and deadnamed as much as any other trans person. I've found subconscious ways to cope with them though, and that's helped me become comfortable with my feminine romantic/sexual identity and my love for femininity in expression. I'm always happy to talk about trans topics so if you ever want to, my Instagram is @ endounohana !!

Hey pal, I just wanted to say that I'm a trans guy (youth) and relate to this so hard. Though I'm pre-everything, I plan to do hormone therapy and look to consider top/maybe bottom surgery later into my adult life. I know how serious it is, and even get scared by some of these things myself. My mom and I have discussed my identity before, and she isn't as on board with it as I was hoping. In this video, I noticed that our moms share some similar worries. This video really helped me to see the positive side of things, and it's even something I want to show my own mom/parents when the time is right. I think it could help relieve some issues in the necessary future. Thank you so much for sharing.

I know nobody will care about what i say in this comment but i want to post this anyway. I am trans. My parents are also very religious. So when i told them that i am trans for the first time (i was at school), they said we would talk when we were all home. When i did get home, it wasnt really much of a talk... my mom cried while trying to talk to me and my dad was as close to crying as ive seen him in a long time (which is saying something cuz ive only seen my dad cry once before, and im 21 now). They basically told me the "i dont agree with what youre saying, but i will support you and i will always love you" thing. But i didnt even take in what they were saying. i was just crushed by the fact that my parents might have saw this as a bad thing. We dont even really talk about it at all. Im scared that when i DO go for the surgeries, that they wont love me the same way anymore. Of course they will say that they do but... im just not sure. Im just.. scared guys. I dont know what to do. Me being trans was brought up in a conversation once and it seemed like she forgot.. i dont know what that means but im surprised that she forgot. When i think about what my parents will say when they see me for the first time when ive transitioned it just scares the crap out of me. I just want them to accept me for who i am. And i want to SHOW who i am but i.... im scared to buy woman's clothing or accessories. I know my grandparents wouldnt understand and question me and tell me how its wrong to dress that way because im a boy and blah blah. and my parents would also question me but might understand but.. *sigh* this whole situation just scares me. it scares me to death. I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin.

Just because they don't agree with your decision doesn't mean that they won't love you anymore. They loved you before you told them, so they should still love you after. You're just changing how you look and the pronouns you go by, your still the same person. They'll get used to it eventually.

Well people walk into the wrong bathrooms by accident all the time. If you’re a girl using the guys restroom people will just think you walked into the wrong restroom. You probably won’t get into any trouble. So it’s not about “can” you use it but more do you feel safe using it. A trans person will probably use the bathroom they’re most comfortable with (meaning they’re a transman so they want to go to the men’s restroom OR they feel scared going into the men’s restroom and maybe they feel like they don’t pass as male either so in that case they’d probably use the women’s restroom. Just depends on the person but lots of trans people feel uneasy about using public restrooms either way.
